Laura's Sketch 9 at 2 Sketches 4 You

Well, I was able to complete the card for the challenge over at 2sketches4you this week. I was able to spend a few minutes here and there it in the small moments that I had while Hannah was sleeping. I used a frosted card blank from this week's sponsor ShortCuts on the 2sketches4you website this week. The cardstock, ribbon, and stamps are Stampin Up. The brads and paint on the chipboard piece are Making Memories. The patterned paper and button are from my scraps and I don't know what the brand are. I colored in the stamped image with my Stampin Up markers.

Announcing the arrival of....

Our new little angel......

Hannah Dawn

She was born in the morning hours of Friday September 19th. She weighed 8 lbs 12 ozs and is 21 1/2 inches long. She is our new beautiful little miracle. I hope to not be so busy over the next few weeks that I don't get a chance to post to the blog, but I hope that the followers on this blog will understand if postings seem a little sparse. ;)

Kazan's Sketch 9 at 2s4y

Well, another day has about gone by, but I haven't had my baby yet. I am in labor right now and hope to have my new baby in my arms tomorrow. I was able to get the sketch card done for the challenge this week over at 2sketches4you. Here my take on this week's sketch. I used Stampin Up for the cardstock and the happy birthday stamps.....the bunny image is House Mouse and colored with the MCPT and prismacolor pencils. I raised the stamped image with foam adhesive. I am not sure of the patterned paper (it is leftovers in my stash) and the ribbon is some I bought from QVC and don't know the brand. I applied Stickles Glitter Glue to the stamped image.

One more card this week....

I had a chance to make the card from the bonus sketch over at 2s4y this week....it is a sketch by Ashild on the design team over there. I used scraps from a paper kit that I got at a local scrapbook store....I think that the patterned papers are from Imagination Project and the cardstock is Stampin Up. I cut the felt with a sizzix die in my cuttlebug and stitched around it. The extra large brad is from Bazzill and the "Thank You" stamp is from Stampin Up. (Can you tell that I am getting ready for this baby and making lots of Thank You cards??) The tag in the pocket is cut with Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge on my cricut and I embossed it with my cuttlebug and the D'vine swirls embossing folder. The ribbon that is attached to the tag with a staple is from Stampin Up.

Laura's Sketch 8 at 2sketches4you

Here is my take on this week's sketch over at 2sketches4you. I go and get these sketches every Monday when they are put up, but it takes me a few days to get an idea on how to use them on a card. I am in awe of all of the the amazing work that is accomplished by Laura, Kazan, the design team over there, and everyone that does the challenge. I browse through all the cards and there are so many amazing ideas. If you haven't checked them out, you should hop on over and try out their sketches.
Everything from this card is from Stampin Up. These is the papers and colors that I used for my wedding album (I should say am using....there are still a couple of pages that I haven't finished scrapping, yet).

Baby girl card for a friend

I finally finished the bonus card from 2sketches4you last week. It is based on the sketch by Christine....a member of their design team. I used Stampin Up for the cardstock and stamp. The patterned paper is DCWV and I punched it with my Threading water punch. I hand cut the heart out of felt and stitched around it and the cardstock.
Hopefully I will be able to make cards on the sketches they have this week. I love playing along every week. If you haven't already, check them out here.

Kazan's Sketch 8 at 2Sketches4You

Here is my card for the week over on 2sketches4you. This is Kazan's Sketch #8. I used Stampin Up for everything except the string and the thread in the sewing. I am hoping to get the bonus card for this week done, too, but it probably won't be tonight.....maybe I can squeeze in a few minutes tomorrow. I have been really busy preparing for the baby and I had a couple of family functions this week, so I haven't really had much time to work on things and I know in the next few weeks, time might be a precious thing. It is anybody's guess as to when the baby will be here.

We have a Winner!!

This was tons of fun and I really liked seeing what the guesses are to the gender of my baby. The final tally for every-one's guess as to the gender of my baby is:

Boys - 33
Girls - 51

For those of you who went with the girls, that is how my 4 year old little girl would have voted, too. She is pretty certain that she is getting a little sister this time around.....I hope she isn't too disappointed if it is a boy. I really don't have much of a feeling one way or another as to what the gender of this baby is....with my little girl, I was pretty certain that it was a girl and with my little boy, I went out and bought boy clothes two days after I found out I was pregnant. With this one, I am not sure at all.

So, since today is Friday, I pulled an entry for the drawing from my tin of names and the winner is Jen who posted:
