July LO

Here is a LO that I have done for a local kit club. I just haven't taken the pictures to put on it yet. I cannot remember what the paper line is, but the cardstock is Bazzill, the metal embellishments are from Making Memories, the hemp twine is from Stampin Up, and I used my cricut and the Mickey Font to cut out the title. I cut it out in two different colors and then cut the blue one and adhered it to the red layer. I also used my colorbox fluid chalk in Chestnut Roan to ink and distress.

I just realized that I haven't posted pictures of my fathers day cards yet. I will have to get some pictures of them and post them sometimes this week.

I have been TAGGED!!

The lovely and talented Tomi Ann Hill has tagged me and so here it goes.....

The rules of the game: Each player answers the questions themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answers.

Ten years ago....
I was working at Sears in Ogden Utah and had just gone through a divorce. I guess you could say that I was in the process of discovering myself and learning to love myself. I was living with a roomate in Ogden while I was working and going to school for Computer Programming. Later in 1998, I met my loving husband, Dan, who I am happily married to right now.

Five things on today's "to do list"
1. Spend some time with my kids and husband
2. Work on some scrapping projects
3. Do the dishes
4. Vacuume the stairs
5. Give the kiddos their baths

Snacks I enjoy....I am a sucker for Dark Chocolate (pregnant or not). I also love the Chile Limòn chips from Lays.

Things I would do if I was a millionaire....I would pay off all our bills, help out family members that are struggling and pay off their mortgages or get them homes, get my grandmother private nursing care, and invest the rest.

Places I have lived.....
This is pretty easy to answer.....I have only lived in Utah and a short period in Greely, Colorado when I was 4. In Utah, I have lived in Garland, Tremonton, Smithfield, Paradise, Ogden, Murray, and Sandy.

I am going to tag Crystal, Kopperhead, Bessie, Amy, and Vicki. I am looking forward to your answers ladies!!

A new card and some blog candy for 2500 hits Ü

I recently picked up a couple of these sets of Scrappy Cat stamps and because I have hit 2500 hits on my blog, I would like to give a set away along with an acrylic block from Scrappy Cat and a Xyron 150. If you would like to be entered into the drawing, simply leave me a comment on this post along with your email address so that I can contact you if you are the winner. I will draw on Friday the 27th of June and post the winner on Saturday the 28th. If you don't want to leave your email address, you will have 2 days to check to see if you have won and let me know your contact info so that I can get your prize mailed out to you. If I don't hear from you by the end of the day on the 30th, I will select a new winner and go from there. Good Luck!!

This is a card that I made with this stamp set in the giveaway. I used Stampin Up for the green and white cardstock, the ribbon, and the embossing powder (on the "Summer" at the bottom); Bazzill for the pink cardstock; Versamark for the watermark background. To create the scalloped edge, I used my corner rounder from Stampin Up. I colored the stamped flower with my Prisma colored pencils and Mona Lisa Odorless Mineral Spirits (Gamsol) and I adhered it with pop dots for dimension. Thanks for looking.

Chunky Glitter

From the Stampin Up mini catalog, I bought a pack of the chunky glitter. I haven't used it very much, but I decided to use it on this card and I like the effects. There is a similar card in the catalog and I just used the basic design. The ribbon, cardstock, stamp, embossing powder, and glitter are all from Stampin Up; I cut out the flower from the Walk In My Garden cartridge with my cricut; the brads are from Making Memories; and I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder in my cuttlebug to emboss the background.

Mother's Day gifts I made this year

I know, I know, Mother's Day was over a month ago, but silly me, I forgot to take pictures of the things I made before I gave them away. I was finally able to take pictures to share with you here. I made the multiple flower pots for my mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. The single flower pots I gave to my sisters and sister-in-laws.

I bought the pots (already painted) from the new Hobby Lobby store here in Cache Valley. I put some floral foam in the bottom of the pots and put in some wooden dowels, that I had painted green, into the foam. I covered the foam with the decorative rocks. I then cut out the flowers with my cricut machine and the Walk in my Garden cartridge. The cardstock that I used was a variety from my scraps (Bazzill and Stampin Up). I then chalked and doodled on the flowers. For the center pieces on the flowers, I used my new Shimmer Mist from Tattered Angels for texture and just a touch of sparkle. I then attached them to the dowels with some of my craft glue dots. I tied a ribbon around the pots and made little tags for each of them.

Uh-oh!! Computer Crash!!

I had major problems with my computer last week and it crashed. I had to start all over and reload everything. Luckily, I was able to recover all of my photos and most of my personal settings and previous emails. I haven't been able to recover some of the programs that came with my computer when it was sold to me back in December. I wish that they would still provide you with all the software disks like they use to when you bought a computer. Now I have to pay $$ to get those programs back (like Microsoft Office and my DVD burn software). I am sorry that I haven't been on and posted much for the last couple of weeks, but I will see what I can get posted over the next week to make it up to all of the viewers of my blog. Thanks for visiting!!
