Fabulous Friend - Laura's Sketch 31 at 2 Sketches 4 You

****If you are looking for the Adornit Blog Hop, click HERE or scroll down to the next post****

This is my card for Laura's sketch 31 at 2 Sketches 4 You. I had many ideas for this card, but this card is the one I came up with first and I don't have time to do the other ones before the week is over. I have a family reunion this week and still have a few things that I need to get done for it like baking and finishing up a baby afghan that I crocheted for the raffle.

Adornit Blog Hop

If you didn’t come from Michelle's blog, be sure to go HERE to start at the beginning of Adornit's Summer Party Blog Hop and check out the Adornit blog for the rest of the Summer Blog Party fun. Since I am participating in Adornit’s blog hop this weekend, I created this clear acrylic album with some of Adornit’s products (patterned paper and letter stickers) to share with you. This is made from a kit I received from my monthly subscription at Apron Strings Designs (the kit that this one is from is still available at an amazing price HERE). I have had these acrylic albums for months, but I have been too intimidated to try them, but I love the way this one turned out and will definitely do some more in the near future.

These pages don't have photos on them yet because my photo printer ran out of ink, but I wanted to still post them for you....

I also created this card with the scraps and it is based on the bonus sketch by Anja at 2 Sketches 4 You this week.

Now it is time to hop on over to Karen’s blog to see what she has created to share with you. But before you do, please leave me a comment and on August 5th, I will randomly pick from the comments on this post and send someone something from my huge stash of goodies. If you are a follower, you get an extra entry.

Summer Card "Kind Thanks" - Kazan's sketch 31 at 2s4y

I can’t believe how fast the summer is going by. It almost seems like when I was a kid and the summer break from school went by way to fast. I haven’t been feeling my best lately and I needed a little pick me up, so I decided to create this happy, bright, and summer type of card. I created it based up on Kazan’s wonderful sketch this week at 2 Sketches 4 You. I love how there are so many different cards created every week based off of the same sketch.

A Cheerful Happy Birthday Card - Laura's Sketch 30 @ 2s4y

Wow!! It sure has been getting HOT around here. Thankfully my scrapping room is down in the cooler area of the house. I can just say that I am trying to stay cool and sneak down to get some cards done. I am working on a few different things, but this is the first one that I completed and I am getting posted today. I used one of the new hostess sets from the new Stampin’ Up!® catalog. It is called The More The Merrier and I love how it can be used for all seasons and occasions. I also used my Watercolor Wonder Crayons and aqua painters from Stampin' Up!® to color in the stamped images on this card.....I love the way they work and I love to paint with them.....maybe I should use them more often. This card is also created from the awesome sketch this week provided by Laura at 2 Sketches 4 You.

Cardstock, stamps, ink, watercolor wonder crayons, aqua painters, scallop circle and scallop edge punches: Stampin’ Up!®

Ahoy Matey - Kazan's Sketch 30 at 2s4y

I hope that you all are enjoying the beautiful summer (for those of us here in the northern hemisphere and I hope you are having nice winter for those of you elsewhere Ü ). I have been pretty busy with gardening and my baby is on the move, so she keeps me going all the time. I have also come down with some kind of cold and so that has been holding me back from a few things this week. I did find a little time to create this card with the great sketch that Kazan has provided for us this week on the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. I did find this sketch to be a little challenging, but as soon as I started stamping with this retired Stampin' Up!® stamp set, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it with the sketch.

All products, with the exception of the Prismacolor pencils that I used to color in the stamped images, are from Stampin' Up!®

Friend Card - Laura's sketch 29 at 2sketches4you

It is the final week of the Ultimate Card Showdown and the top 5 have submitted their AWESOME cards….stop by and check them out if you haven’t done so yet…..you will be amazed at all the talent. For this card, I used two of the new (and some of my favorite) stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up!® catalog. I used the following products from Stampin’ Up!®:
Stamps: Circle Circus, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Green Galore
Ink: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Green Galore, Chocolate Chip
Punches: Eyelet Border, Modern Label, Word Window

I also used my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder by Provo Craft to emboss the Green Galore cardstock.

Birthday stuff for my niece.....

Sorry it has been a little bit since I posted last, but I have been busy with my Stampin' Up!® Open House and the launch of their NEW CATALOG, that I just haven't had the time to create much (although I am itching to get in my scrapbook room and create something with my new Stampin' Up!® goodies). I made these for my niece who celebrated a birthday last month, but I just didn't have the time to post them. The first one is the birthday card I made for her and the second one is an altered composition notebook that I put a ribbon around so that she can tie it closed. I used the Tinkerbell cartridge and my Cricut for the butterfly and Tink cuts, the cardstock and ribbon is Stampin' Up!®, as well as the sentiment, corner rounder and circle punch, the papers are from my huge pile of papers that I first got when I started to scrapbook, I used my Nestabilities for the oval and scallop oval cuts on the card, Fiskars Threading water punch for the scalloped edge on the card, the flowers are Imaginesence, Making Memories brad, and Stickles on Tink's wings.

Be on the lookout for some blog candy that I have to give away in the next week or so in celebration of my 2 year blogoversary. Also, I am putting together a class kit and I will ship them with instructions to those that won't actually be able to attend, but would like a class kit.
Hugs,
