Merry Wishes - Kazan's Sketch 40 at 2S4Y

This week has gone by so fast, I haven't had a chance to get all of the things done this week that I wanted to.  I have been busy getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the States with preparing food and family visiting as well as trying to get some projects done for Christmas.  I was able to quickly whipped up this card with the lovely sketch by Kazan this week at 2 Sketches 4 You.  It has lots of embossing from my Cuttlebug and embossing folders.  I think that I will make several of these to send during the Christmas holiday.

So Tweet - Laura's Sketch 39 at 2s4y

Things have been a little dark and dreary here today and my mood seems to match it, so I created a bright and cheery card from the lovely sketch by Laura this week at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I flipped the sketch to make it work for me.  A sweet gal from my church....actually, I think she just moved out of our ward but I still hope that we see each other often......brought me some yummy Texas sheet cake last week and I made this card to thank her.  She is a friend of a friend and I hope to get to know her better because she is a sweetheart.  I also used some of the yummy goodies that I won from Ginny's blog last month for my card.  Thanks Ginny!! ♥

Caardvarks Color A Stamped Image Challenge

Today is the day for a new Caardvarks challenge and it is a fabulous one.  The challenge is to color a stamped image and I created this Happy Thanksgiving card with a 3-D stamped image that I colored with my Stampin' Up! markers.  I stamped the image four times and then colored and cut each one so that I could layer the image with foam adhesive to give it dimension.  The challenge is being sponsored by My Scrapbook Nook and the prize is Copic Markers.  There is also a shopping discount available to Caardvarks readers, so hop on over to Caardvarks for all the details as well as to check out the fabulous work the design team did with the challenge.

Peace On Earth - Kazan's Sketch 39 at 2S4Y

How has your week been??  Weather wise, we have gone from a beautiful autumn day to a crisp cool winter one.  With the snow falling and the temperatures dropping, it drives me to my scrapbook room more than any other time of the year.  I have been a busy little beaver getting projects completed for my design teams that I will share with you soon, but I did finish a card for the challenge this week at 2 Sketches 4 You that I can share with you today.  This week, it is the lovely Kazan's turn to share a sketch with us and this is my card based on that sketch.  I used a frosted card blank from Shortcuts for this card and I stamped it with a snowflake stamp from Stampin' Up! and Opaque Staz On.  I also tried something new for me with these frosted card bases....I hand sewed around the middle square (that is Bermuda Bay cardstock) that I secured to the inside of the front of the card.  I used the Cold & Cuddly stamp set for this card.....I love this stamp set.  I think I have used it more often than any other stamp set I have....and I have quite a few.......

Just Because I Care - Moxie Fab Plum Challenge and Mojo 111

I know I am cutting it close with the Mojo Monday challenge this week, but I have been really busy with design team stuff that I hope to share with you soon.  This card is based on Mojo Monday Sketch 111 as well as the Moxie Fab World Plum Crazy Challenge.  I don't generally use plum on cards so this really was a challenge for me and I am not all that happy with this card and I think I have a hard time photographing it.  It just doesn't appear on the computer the same color it does on the card.  I think that I will try out another card for the Moxie Fab Plum Challenge and try to get it posted.  I hope you enjoy!!

Caardvarks Circle Card Challenge

Hey everyone!!  Today is the first Caardvarks Challenge that I designed for.  We received some fabulous stamps from Clear & Simple Stamps and I received the Naptime stamp set.  Now I do have to say that I was a little skeptical about stamping with acrylic stamps because I am a huge rubber stamp fan and I haven't had much success getting clean images with most acrylic stamps, but I am warming to the idea of using clear acrylic stamps if they are all like this set that I received from Clear & Simple.  The images stamped perfectly with my Stampin' Up! inks.  Hurry on over to Caardvarks to check out the "Circle of Friends" circle card challenge.  Here are my cards....the first one is a circle for a baby girl and the second one is a tall card for a baby boy.  So cute!!

Stamps: Clear & Simple
Cardstock, inks: Stampin' Up!
Patterned paper: K&Co
Flowers: Prima
Pearls: Michaels
Other: Cricut with Design Studio and Mini Monograms cartridge, Prisma color pencils, thread

Here is another card done with this stamp set:

Third And Final Day Of The CC&M and Caardvarks Holiday Blog Hop

Today is the third and final day in the Creative Cuts & More - A Very Merry Caardvarks Holiday Hop. How have you liked the projects that have been posted so far?? There are some pretty awesome ideas for the Christmas season that I know I want to try. If you didn't come from Sue-Ann's blog, be sure to check out the details as well as what fabulous prizes that will be given away during the hop at the Caardvarks blog. For day three, we created some type of home decor, center piece, or ornament. I painted and covered these wooden blocks with cardstock and the letters J O Y that I cut with my Cricut. I then glued them together and tied it all up with a bow and these beautiful velvet flowers from Creative Cuts & More. I am torn between giving this as a gift or just hoarding it for myself.....it would make a great decoration for my mantle this Christmas.

Here are all three of the things I created for this great hop that I am so happy to be a part of. I had them all coordinate and I am thinking that I will give them all as gifts to my grandmother this year for Christmas.

I hope that you have all enjoyed the hop.....I sure have. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think before you move on. Here is the list along with where you need to go next if you have been following from the first.....
