To My Love- Kazan's Sketch 44 at 2S4Y

Finding time in the week to make cards seems to be getting more and more difficult with the kids refusing to take naps and the littlest one keeping me running around....I am too tired to make my way to my craft room and create.  I did get two cards done this week and this one is based on the sketch by Kazan this week at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I made this card to give to my wonderful husband on Valentine's Day....

This first one is with it standing up, but a little bit more of an angle than I wanted.....

I didn't have daylight to fix the angled photo above, so I am also posting this picture of it laying flat..........

        Cardstock, ink, stamps: Stampin' Up!
Die Cut: Cricut and Sweethearts cartridge
        Flowers: Prima
        Ribbon: Creating Keepsakes
Embossing: Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder
        Silver rhinestones: Michael's

Love You - Laura's Sketch 43 at 2S4Y

This card is based on the sketch by the super talented Laura at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I used my Cricut to cut out the little heart flowers from the Sweethearts cartridge and the Love You sentiment comes from the Lyrical Letters cartridge.

I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder on the flowers for texture and I also used dimensional adhesive on the flowers to give them a little lift off of the card.

Carstock, ribbon, Ticket Corner punch, dimensional adhesive: Stampin' Up!
Die Cuts: Cricut with Sweethearts and Lyrical Letters cartridges
        Buttons: Sasafrass
        Brads: Making Memories
Other: Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots and D'vine Swirls embossing folders

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a wonderful day!!

Thanks So Much - Mojo Monday & Moxie Fab Challenges

Hi everyone!!  I hope that you are having a fantastic day!!  I enjoyed some scrapping time last night and I went to bed a little later than I intended to, so I am dragging a little today, but I am happy with the cards that I was able to complete.  I will have two posts today, so check back later for the other one.  This first one combines the Mojo Monday Sketch 121 with the Moxie Fab World Color Challenge.  I will admit that this color combination is definitely not one I would choose to do on my own.  I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do with this color combination, but with this sketch from Mojo Monday and my Circle Circus stamp set from Stampin' Up! I was able to make it work for me.  This card was calling out for ribbon, but I didn't have any that matched these colors, so I took a strip of the Marigold Morning cardstock from Stampin' Up! and wrinkled it several times, then I bunched it up along the top of the card and adhered it with stitching.

Cardstock, stamps, ink, brad, punches: Stampin' Up!
Other: Cuttlebug and Moroccan Screen embossing folder, sewing machine and thread

Don't forget that I will be posting blog candy in the next few days, so stop by and check it out.

Life Is What Happens To You.......

Here is my card for the MojoMonday 120 sketch.  I love the way this card turned out.  I don't usually use so many different patterned papers on a card, but these ones, from an older Stampin' Up! set I have, worked so well together, I wanted to give it a try.

Cardstock, patterned paper, stamps, ink, ribbon, punches: Stampin' Up!
        Button: Sassafras
        Brad: Making Memories
Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities, sewing machine and thread

Kindness Comes In Many Forms......2S4Y

I found this cute little bird on my Home Decor Cricut cartridge.  I have had this cart for a few months, but I only saw this image the other day and I wanted to use it on a card and Kazan's lovely sketch this week at 2 Sketches 4 You provided me with the perfect opportunity.

Isn't this bird so cute??  I added a little heart to him with a SU! punch.

Cardstock, patterned paper, ink, stamps, punch, ribbon: Stampin' Up!
        Button: My Mind's Eye
Other: Cricut machine and Home Decor cartridge, embroidery thread, sewing
           machine and thread

Tranquility

So, how has your new year started off??  Are you getting stuff accomplished??  Did you make resolutions or goals??  Are you sticking with them??  Me, I am getting a slow start.  With three little ones, it makes it difficult to get the things accomplished that I want to, but I know that with time, I can work on it and meet my goals.  I did sneak some time in last night, after the kids went to bed, to make a card for a couple of challenges.  I used the sketch from CPS (148) and the basic white card with an Asian theme challenge at Cuttlebug Challenges (Be Inspired #65) to make my card.  The stamp is an older Stampin' Up! image that I colored with my watercolor crayons.
Carstock, ribbon, stamps, ink, corner rounder, watercolor crayons: Stampin' Up!
Other: Cuttlebug and Forest Branches embossing folder, button, embroidery thread

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
