Missing You!! My Craft Spot Ribbon Challenge

There is a new challenge up today at My Craft Spot to use ribbon on your project.  I just love the beautiful colors of the hand dyed crinkle ribbon that Kimberly has at My Craft Spot.  I used two of them (hot pink and caribbean) on my card below as well as the Sweet Sentiments - Set #2 for the sentiment.

I used my Cricut to cut the die cut images.....the mug is cut from the Every Day Pop-up cartridge and the label is cut from Elegant Edges.

Amy

Mickey Birthday Theme with the Cricut

I can't believe that it is Friday already......with a birthday for my youngest, bottling tomatoes and salsa, and my little man having the flu, it went by really fast for me.  I was hoping to have this post up earlier this week.....but since I was so busy, I am glad that I can take a few minutes to get it up today.

My youngest child is obsessed with Mickey Mouse.  She takes something Mickey with her everywhere she goes, so I didn't really need to ask her what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday, but I did anyway and she said she wanted Mickey and polka dots, so here is what I made for her with my Cricut Cake machine and the Mickey and Friends cartridge.....

Here is the birthday girl blowing out her candles with her older sister and their niece (yes, I did say niece).....her hair was done up really cute, but she hates to have anything in her hair, so she pulled it out.  =(

And here is the Mickey Mouse card I made for her.  I used Card Patterns Sketch 133 for this card.......

Thanks for stopping by!!  Hopefully my weekend will be a more relaxing one and I can finish the book I am reading.....and soak in a hot bath.  ;)

Hugs,
Amy

Die cut: Cricut and Cricut Cake with Mickey and Friends cart

New Marvy Permanent Markers with SRM Stickers

Have you heard of the new Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers??  They are alcohol based markers and much cheaper than some of the other popular alcohol markers.  Some of the SRM Stickers designers received a sample of markers from this new line to try out and use in combination with SRM Stickers....I was lucky enough to be chosen to try them out.   Check out these super cute samples I created....and keep reading to the end to find out how you can win some to try yourself......
(Marvy Markers, Lawn Fawn Stamps, Bazzill papers, SRM Stickers)

(Marvy Markers, Lawn Fawn Stamps, Bazzill papers, SRM Stickers, Fancy Pants buttons)

(Marvy Markers, Unity Stamps, Bazzill papers, SRM Stickers, The Twinery's twine)

Here is my review:

I have always loved stamping and I just started coloring with some of the more expensive alcohol markers a year ago. I then received the new Marvy LePlume permanent markers to try and I found that their colors were beautiful, vibrant and easy to work with. They blend just as well as the more expensive markers and the ink went on very evenly to make shading and blending easy. I only use the brush tip when I color with markers, so I didn’t miss the chisel tip at all. I would highly recommend these markers to anyone who would like to try coloring with markers, or even for those who would like to add to their marker collection without paying so much.

If you would like to have a chance to win some of these lovely markers, hop on over the the SRM Stickers blog to see all the details (there will be a set....winners choice.....given away each day of a Marvy LePlume post plus one full set to one very lucky winner).  Good Luck!!

 Amy

Happy Harvest With My Craft Spot + A Winner

Good Morning everyone!!  Today is Monday and that means another fun new challenge at My Craft Spot.  The challenge this week is Happy Harvest and I have a fun basket full of yummy harvest apples to share with you today:
I used my Cricut and Freshly Picked cartridge to cut the images and added some glossy accents to the apples.  Don't you just love the shine it gives to the apples??  I also used my small tipped embossing stylus to make the wood grain on the crate and sign post.  You can find the tutorial for how I do that HERE.  I added some ink and pen details and finished it off with some bakers twine from The Twinery and some zig-zag stitches on my sewing machine.

I hope that you can join us this week for this fab fall challenge on the My Craft Spot blog.......someone will be randomly drawn to win the same Happy Fall stamp set that I used on my card today....how fun!!

Now, on to the winner for the set of 3 cards from my Fancy Pants feature post......the winner via Random.org is:

MyMemories Suite Review Plus A Giveaway & Discount Code

Hey everyone!!  Have any of you ever tried using digital scrapbook software before??  If not, have you ever thought about doing digital or hybrid layouts??   I personally have tried to use some of the other digital scrapbooking software programs and I thought that digital or hybrid scrapbooking wasn't really for me because of how how difficult it was to pull a layout together and how hard it was to work with the software I was using....hour after frustrating hour just to try and make a somewhat decent scrapbook page and I was totally burned out on the whole process.  Well, no more!!  About two weeks ago, I received an email about doing a review and a giveaway for the MyMemores Suite scrapbook software and I am really impressed with how easy it is to use and how the software functions.

Here is a little about MyMemories Suite 2.0:
MyMemories Suite is the #1 rated scrapbook software. Not only is it affordable and fun, it’s also extremely easy. Whether you’re new to digital scrapbooking or a seasoned pro, MyMemories Suite is the perfect digital scrapbooking software to use.  You can click HERE to see some youtube videos about this software.  It does so much more than what I was able to see in the short time I have had to use it like:
  • Create in minutes - Fast, and easy to use. Simple enough for beginners, yet powerful for serious scrapbookers.
  • Not just looks - Take your scrapbooks beyond traditional photo albums with interactive features.
  • Speaks for itself -With video and narration features you can experience your memories all over again.
  • Go ahead, show off! -Countless ways to share your creation with friends & family again and again... and again
With MyMemories Suite you simply don't look at a scrapbook-you experience it!

Just after I downloaded the MyMemories Suite 2.0 software, I spent an hour or so playing around with it and I really do love how easy it is to use......just check out this layout I made with it on my first attempt and with little experience with digital scrapbooking. I just dragged and dropped the different elements available into the layout to make it completely my own.......it *almost* makes me look like a professional scrapbooker....woohoo!!

I used the Going Coastal Pack for the layout above

They have a wonderful collection of digital scrapbook kits available at really good prices.....plus free ones, too.  Just for my readers, My Memories Suite has offered to give you all a discount code for $10 off the MyMemories Suite Digital Scrapbook Software 2.0 plus a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store.  Just copy the coupon code below to take advantage of the discount:
