Fun Scooter Card

Well, tomorrow night is the night that we ring in the New Year and I am ready to leave this year behind.  I have had awesome experiences, and some not so great ones, but I am excited to see what the new year brings.

I created this card with some new stamps that I got from The Sweet Stamp Shop, my SRM Stickers, twine from The Twinery and Echo Park paper scraps from layouts I have done this year.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

I have been super busy this month with family things (emergencies, illnesses, and celebrations), so I haven't had much time to craft, but hopefully with the new year that will change and I will be able to share more with you next month.

Let me know if you are looking forward to the new year and if you have any resolutions.

Hugs,
Amy

Merry Christmas!!

They day is finally upon us......all the planning and celebrating over the last few weeks will culminate tomorrow.  I have had fun making some neighbor gifts that I have been giving away this year.  I got the idea from How Does She to make these fun blocks of wood cut from 2x4's.  I covered them with Mod Podge and paper and then added some vinyl sentiments that I cut on my new Cricut Mini and the Cricut Craft Room. On the front of them it says "Merry Christmas" (Teresa Collins Christmas Sentiments) and the back has "let it snow" (Cricut Alphabet) so that they can display it in their house all winter long.
The treats that are wrapped up are Oreo Pops the I made and covered in chocolate.  I found a tutorial on how to do these on How Does She.  Believe me you want to follow the tutorial or else you will not be able to put the suckers in without breaking the cookie and then they won't be very pretty.

I used the Cricut Imagine and the Imagine More cartridge to print and cut the tags for them:
I added some stamps from My Craft Spot (From:) and Stampin' Up! (candy) and then some of the lovely bakers twine from The Twinery all topped off with a button.

So, are you all ready for Christmas??  I am all ready and can't wait to spend the next two days with my awesome family.  I hope that you have a very merry Christmas filled with family, friends, fond memories and the spirit of Christ!! ♥

Amy

A Countdown To Christmas with SRM Stickers

I can't believe how close it is getting to Christmas!!  Only 17 days left and to help my family count down the last 12 days, I created this fun hanging project.

I cut out these fab little boxes with my Cricut and Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more cartridge and tied them off with some pretty ribbons.  I then added some fab Fancy Pants Designs paper to them and then finished them off with some awesome SRM Stickers and cute little buttons, along with some fun pen stitched accents.   Did you know that SRM Stickers makes great number stickers for calendars and such??  They were a perfect to use on this fun project.

I filled each one with a little surprise for my kids like candy canes, stickers, buttons, little chocolate pieces, and fun activities (decorate a gingerbread house, paint ornaments, make Christmas cookies, etc) for each day.
I currently have it counting down 12 days, but I can always expand it to 24 days by adding more boxes to the bottom (maybe next year).  I remember as a kid that my mother had a countdown to Christmas type of project where there were treats tied to it and we got to take one off every day until Christmas.  So, tell me, do you have any fun holiday traditions that you do with your family to count down the days to Christmas??  I would love to hear about them.

I would really love it if you hopped on over to the SRM Stickers blog to leave a comment under my project post for today.  Also, don't forget that I have a fun giveaway that goes until tomorrow.  CLICK HERE for all the details.

Beach Shadowbox Frame for Handmade Gift Exchange

Hello my crafty friends!!  I have been doing a few of these shadow box frames for gifts and such and I wanted to share the beach themed one I made for my exchange partner Lori (Loretta) in the Handmade Gift Exchange hosted by Craftaholics Anonymous.  She said that she loves the beach, so I thought I would create and send her a beach themed shadowbox so she can have a little bit of the beach every day.......
The images are all cut with my Cricut and I used dimensional adhesive to layer them for dimension within the frame.  I also used my Cuttlebug and D'Vine Swirls embossing folder for the waves. The "Life's A Beach" is an SRM Sticker. Here is a different angle to see the dimension in the waves......

Here is the lovely Inspiration jar the I received from Lori....it will be so fun to pull daily inspiring tags from it.

I a really glad that I was able to participate in this fun Handmade Gift Exchange.  Thanks so much to Lori for the wonderful gift and also to Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous for setting it all up!!   =)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget that I have a Birthday Bash Giveaway going on right now.....hop on over and get entered!!  =)

Amy
