Scrapbook Room Clean-out Giveaway #5 (Final Day)

Today is the last day on my Scrapbook Room Clean-out and Giveaway.  Thanks for joining me over the last week.  I have had fun sharing with you as I organize and get my room put together.  I am not quite done yet (still a couple of stacks of paper to deal with...hehe).  Hopefully I will have my new desk done in the next couple of weeks....I will share photos of my completed space when it is all done.  Thanks for the wonderful comments you have been leaving me along the way.  I am so happy to hear that I have inspired you in some way to get your rooms organized.

Today, I am going to share with you my *favorite* part of my organizing.  The kid's craft corner......
It is my *favorite* part because my kids can be in the room with me and I can even craft and supervise when they are doing their homework.  I bought this little table (unfinished) from the clearance section of a craft store a couple of years ago.  My husband finished it for the kids last year and I just moved it in here for them to use.  I used the left over piece of peg board for some of their tools from the one that was cut from the huge piece that I bought at Home Depot for my peg board.  I also cleaned up and hung a cork board that has been sitting in our garage for a few years for them to display their creations on.  The corner shelf is one that I picked up at a yard sale years ago and was in my old crafting space.  I know that they will find many hours of enjoyment crafting along with me.....which is one of their favorite things.

For my last giveaway I have this Complete Scrapbook Kit by Colorbök along with this lovely box of silk flowers by 3 Birds.

This scrapbook kit has over 460 pieces and includes an album.

Scrapbook Room Clean-out Giveaway #4

Hello everyone, how are you doing today??  Here is another of my new favorite ways to get organized in my new scrapbook room....this is how I plan to organize my ribbon and tools.
I went to Home Depot and purchased this peg board for only $12.48 + tax.  It was a very large 4 x 8 foot sheet and they cut it down at Home Depot to the exact size I needed for FREE.  My husband found some floor moulding in the garage (remember his equivalent to my scrapbook room) and made a frame around it for me.  I really like how I can arrange (and re-arrange) the pegs to just how I want it.  I just LOVE it!!  I plan on putting some excess ribbon on rings and hanging them on the pegs in the empty space.  Anyone have any ideas on where to pick up some rings to tie my ribbon on??  I was thinking key rings, maybe..........  I hope to have it filled to share with you when I show you pics of my completed room.

The giveaway today is for a Fastenator with a new set of 48 decorative staple bars......
I only used it 5-6 times and it is in excellent condition.  The package of staple bars is brand new.  If you would like to enter for this giveaway:
  • Leave a comment under this post telling me what your favorite paper crafting tool is.....you know that one you just can't live without.
  • Be a public follower or subscriber to my blog (you can sign up on the right sidebar).
Only one entry per person, please.......duplicate entries will be deleted.  I will randomly draw a winner from all of my giveaways on January 31st.  Don't forget to check out my other giveaways this week:

CSN Stores Review

I don't know about you, but at this time of the year, I long to go on vacation to some where nice and warm.  I would love to pick up some new Delsey luggage from the CSN stores to take along with me.  They have all kinds of sizes and shapes to fit your traveling lifestyle.

Where is it that you would like to escape to right now??

Glam Baby Layout with ScrapbookPal

Today I am excited to share with you a layout that I created with the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge that ScrapbookPal sent me to work with this month.  It had perfect images and a title to go with this layout of my little Glam Baby.

How to create this layout:
  • Cut at piece of kraft colored cardstock at 10 x 10 inches.  Center and layer this on top of a 12 x 12 piece of patterend paper.
  • Cut a striped piece of patterned paper to 8 x 5 1/2 inches.  Cut a border strip to 8 inches (I used an edge punch on mine) and adhere under the long side of the striped patterend paper.
  • Using three photos (cut at 2 1/2 x 3, 3 x 5, and 2 1/2 x 3 1/2) adhere as shown in the picture above.
  • Cut various stars out of the colored cardstock and the Rock Princess cartridge with your Cricut to match the patterend paper, layer and adhere as shown above.
  • Cut the title and layer from the phrase "Glam Baby" on the Rock Princess cartridge at 2 1/4 inches and layer together.  Use some Distress Stickles to apply a little glitter over the words.
  • Cut a label from Once Upon A Princess at 2 3/4 inches to layer under the title.
  • Add journaling, doodling and rhinestones to the layout.
I used a sketch from this month's newsletter at Pagemaps to inspire my layout.

I hope you will come back and join us tomorrow as we get started on a Valentine's themed blog hop with the design team.  Don't forget to check out my giveaways that I am having all this week on my blog.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Stampin' Up!
Patterned paper: Fancy Pants
Die cuts: Cricut Expression with Rock Princess and Once Upon a Princess cartridges
Rhinestones: i-rock by Imaginisce
Punches: Stampin' Up!

Scrapbook Room Clean-out Giveaway #2

Did you know that January was National Organization Month??  While I have been cleaning and reorganizing my craft stuff, I have come to the conclusion that I WILL NOT be buying any more supplies or products unless I KNOW I will use it.  I have so many things that I have spent money on and I have have only used it once or twice, or better yet, never even used (like my giveaway yesterday).  I am glad to see that there are so many of you out there that will put good use to these items.

Today, I am going to share how I am going to display my favorite layouts in my new room.......
I have a few that I don't want to put away immediately.  My husband has quite a few left over goodies in his garage (his equivalent to my scrapbook room) and I asked if he had some extra circle ended screws and wire to help me out.  He did have some and so I had him hang them high on my wall and I put my layouts sideways into page protectors and hung them with clips along the wire with the open end of the page protector on the side to help keep the dust from getting in.  This was a super cheap and easy way to display my favorite layouts and I won't have to put them into books immediately......plus they are really easy to switch out if I have new favorites.

Now, for my giveaway today, I have something that I haven't pulled out and used for a loooooong time.  It was one of the first tools that I purchased and only used two or three times.  It is the Sizzix Paddle Punch system.  I am not even sure if they make them anymore, but I have seen them on ebay.
Included in this giveaway:
- Nine paddle punches in the following shapes: Large square,
small square, large circle, small circle, butterfly, heart, swirl,
   star, and leaf.
- Hammer with two replacement heads
- Poker to help remove the cut out from inside the paddle
- Mat

Scrapbook Room Clean-out Giveaway #1

Hello everyone!!

My room is starting to come together.....finally!!  I have everything moved over to my new space, now the real task at hand is organizing it all.  I hope to have it all done by the end of the week and maybe have my new desk built (by my wonderful hubby) sometime in the next couple of weeks.  I will share a few photos with you this week of my new space.

This is how I am going to store my mountain of wooden stamp sets.

I bought these shelves in the home organization aisle of a local department store.  I already had one, so I bought another one to stack on top of it so that I had more room for stamps.  I am glad that I have them all together and out in the open....maybe I will be more likely to use them.  ;)

As I go through my scrapping stash, I am finding stuff that I don't have a use for and I would love to share it with someone who will have use for it. Today, I have this HUGE block of 360 sheets of scrapbook paper that I would love to giveaway to one lucky winner.
It is 360 sheets with 4 sheets of 90 patterns & colors with coordinating solids.  Acid-free/Lignin-free scrapbook paper.

To enter:
  • Leave a comment under this post and tell me something that you would like to use this paper for (cards, scrapbook pages, altered items, school projects, etc.)
  • Be a public follower or subscriber to my blog (sign up on the right sidebar)
One entry per person, please....duplicate entries will be deleted.  I will randomly draw a winner on Monday January 31st.

Good luck and come back soon because I have stuff to giveaway all week long (I have 4 or 5 giveaways).  I also have an AWESOME giveaway I am planning when I reach 1000 followers/subscribers, so stay tuned and tell your friends.  ;)

Birdie Thanks

I am still in the process of getting all my stuff moved and organized in my scrapping room and I love how it is coming together.  We haven't got the wood to build my new scraping desk yet, so I will just work with the table I currently use until it is ready.  I can't believe how hard it is to move all the scrapping stuff I have accumulated.  So much that I forgot I had and now they are kind of like new to me again.  When I have it all set up and ready (new desk and all), I will share some pictures with you.

So, I decided to enter for the card contest that was announced on facebook with Cricut and Anna Griffith.  The challenge was to use any Anna Griffith product and one or more of the following Cricut cartridges - Winter Lace, Don Juan, or Home Decor - on a card and send it in to Provo Craft. I used some Anna Griffith patterned paper that I found at Michael's and the Home Decor cartridge for my card.  I couldn't resist throwing in a little SRM Stickers for the sentiment.  I sent my card in at the end of last week and it only had to go about 100 miles, so I hope it made it on time......
The winners will get the newest release from Provo Craft as well as Anna Griffith and their cards shown on the air during the showing for Provo Craft tonight and tomorrow.  Wish me luck!!

Sketch Inspirations LO and SRM Sticker Winner

Apron Strings Designs is the sponsor this week over at Sketch Inspirations.  The Apron Strings Design Team got to create layouts with the wonderful sketch this week and here is my interpretation of it:

This is a fun layout of my youngest in the garden as she discovers worms while we dig up our potatoes.  I loved these papers from the June 2010 Bigger than a Breadbox kit and thought that the KI Memories papers in this kit worked well with the colors in my daughters sweater.  I cut the bird and leaf pattern out of one of the papers and added it as an accent at the bottom right corner of this layout.

I have also drawn a winner from my SRM Stickers announcement and giveaway last week and the winner drawn from Random.org is:
WooHoo ~amy~!!  Congrats girlie!!  Send me an email with your shipping information and I will get these fabulous stickers shipped out to you.

I have been working on getting my scrapping room moved and so I don't have a whole lot of projects to share with you.  I have outgrown my current scrapping space (as my husband so kindly pointed out) and so while we moved beds around and since we don't have a bed for the workout/guest room anymore, I am going to take over part of it with my scrapping room.  There will still be our exercise equipment in there, but there will be much more room for my scrapping stuff.  I hope to have it all moved by the end of the week.  My hubby is going to build me a new scrapping table and I also will be getting some jetmax storage cubes to help store some of my scrapping supplies.  When I have it all done I will share some pictures with you.  I am sure that I will find some fun stuff to giveaway, too, so stay tuned.

Don't forget that there is still time to enter to win some new and unreleased Core'dinations cardstock, so CLICK HERE to get entered.

Flashback Friday 7.0

WooHoo!!  I am the guest designer for Flashback Friday 7.0!!

Hop on over and join us for some flashback fun.  The best part of the Flashback Friday challenges is that you don't need to create something new.  You just have to re-post a project from your past and you have a chance to win some fabulous goodies!!

Flashback Friday 7.0 is being sponsored by JenMarie Taylor of

and here are the yummy stamps that you can win:

The challenge is to share your first glitter project.  I had to dig deep into my archives of photos and I was able to come up with this layout from September 2006!!  I started to scrapbook in 2003, but I didn't really get going and filling my scrapbooks until 2006......this layout pre-dates my blog, so it has not even been posted to here, so for most of you, this will be the first time you see it.  ;)

Wow, what a flashback.....this is a layout of my oldest when she was just 1.  She will be 7 in about two months.  It is kind of hard to see, but I used glitter on the title for this layout.  This was before I discovered stickles and so I had glitter everywhere for weeks!!  I can't wait to see what your first glitter projects are....be sure to re-post them and link them up on the Flashback Friday 7.0 challenge post on the Flashback Friday blog by the deadline (February 4th) in order to be in the running for the fabulous prize.

Diva Card with Rock Princess for ScrapbookPal

Hello everyone!!  Today is 1/11/11 (so cool!!)  and I get to share a project with you on the ScrapbookPal blog.  I made this card with the Rock Princess Cricut cartridge that ScrapbookPal sent me to work with this month.

To create this card:
  • Cut the princess on page 37 of the handbook at 3 inches.  Cut the layers in the colors shown above and assemble the image.  I used my Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dots embossing folder on her skirt before I assembled it.  Add some pink Stickles to the crown and allow it to dry.
  • Cut the Diva phrase on page 69 of the handbook at 1 3/4 inches from chipboard (I suggest the deep cut blade and housing with multi cut on to cut the chipboard).  Use some good adhesive and adhere silver glitter to the chipboard phrase.  Cut out the crown layer in pink and adhere over the crown on the "D".  Use some pink Stickles to add sparkle to the crown.  Apply rhinestones to the top of the crown when the Stickles is dry.
  • Use the Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dots embossing folder to add texture to a 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 inch piece of kraft cardstock.  Adhere this piece to a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock.  Add these background layers to a kraft colored A2 card base (4 1/4 x 11 inches folded in half to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card with the fold at the top).
  • Assemble the card as shown in the picture above (I used some dimensional adhesive under the princess image to help her look like she is sitting on top of the Diva phrase).  Attach some matching pink ribbon to the top of the card and tie it off in a bow.  Attach a rhinestone to the middle of the bow.

Tip:
I added some fruit punch Stickles when I meant to grab the pink to fill in a spot that I accidentally touched before it had dried.  When I noticed my mistake, rather than wipe it off or try to correct it, I added some more of the wrong color to help add some dimension.

I hope that I have inspired you to pull out that Rock Princess cartridge and give it a try.

      Supplies:
Cardstock: The Paper Studio (kraft), Stampin' Up (pink, white, black)
Die cuts: Cricut Expression with Rock Princess cartridge
Embossing: Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots embossing folder
Glitter: Stickles (pink), Martha Stewart (silver)
        Rhinestones: Imaginisce i-rock
        Other: ribbon

Exciting News with a Little Giveaway!!

I am so excited because I get to share with you an awesome announcement that I have been bursting to tell you all since I found out.  I have been asked to join the SRM Stickers Design Team for 2011.  This is an awesome opportunity for me to work with such talented designers and a amazing product for scrapbooking and card making.  If you have never heard of SRM Stickers before, visit the SRM Blog, the SRM Flickr Gallery or click HERE to see what I have been able to create with them.  They are fabulous because they seem to melt right into your paper and they have a matte finish so that there is no shine like most stickers.  Be sure to check them out at one of the links above.

In order to celebrate, I want to do a little giveaway.  If you would like to try out some SRM Stickers for yourself, I have this wonderful little set of Quick Cards stickers to give away to one lucky commenter under this post.  You have until midnight on January 16th to leave you comment and then be sure to check back on the 17th to see if you are the winner.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment.  ♥

Apron Strings Designs Hop Challenge #5

It is the last few minutes to submit to the Apron Strings Designs Hop Challenges.  I spent a little time tonight to complete challenge #5.  It was a fun challenge to use the scraps that were left on your table from a previous project (cardstock was the only exception).  I still had the left over kit from the Beautiful Dreamer layout, but I chose to only go with the leftover paper from that kit (June 2010 Bigger than a Breadbox) to create this layout.....there are still two beautiful KI Memories papers that I can use for other projects, as well as the remaining scraps from this layout.  This layout came together really quick because I had everything already out and waiting for me.  I completed this layout in about 35 minutes......that is super quick for me.

I also used Twisted Sketch #76 for this layout.  I hope that you have had a fun weekend and that you were able to join us in the Design Team Hop over the weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!!
