Hello friends and new visitors!! How many of you know what CHA is?? Well, for me, I imagine it to be crafting heaven......a convention center filled with every possible scrapping item.....the latest and greatest under the sun. Since I have never been, I live vicariously through those of you who do go and share your experiences. One of those whom I follow the whole CHA experience with over the last few years is Cath Edvalsen who is the Trends Editor for Paper Crafts and also runs the Moxie Fab World Blog. Well, due to a nasty pain in one of her shoulders, she wasn't able to attend this year, so to cheer her up, I decided to join in on a blog hop just for her.
Here is my 'up-lifting' card......
I used some stamps from Taylored Expressions and my Copic markers on this card. The kites are stamped on patterned paper scraps and then cut out and adhered with some dimensional adhesive. The kite string is some white crochet thread. I used my fringe scissors for the grass and then went back and cut the 'blades' to various heights to make it look a little more like grass. I also used some scissors to distress around the edges of the white cardstock. I used a few strands of embroidery floss to stitch around the card and some twine from The Twinery and a button at the bottom of the card.
So, are you ready to join us in this fun blog hop?? Click on the pic of Cath below to check out the list and the details of this fab blog hop (don't forget to leave some *love* for Cath along the way):
Since I just love participating in the Moxie Fab World Challenges, I created this card for the Cool Tools Week: Cutting and Trimming Challenge. Thanks so much Cath for all of your wonderful and inspiring posts over the years and I hope that you are feeling better soon!! ♥
Thanks everyone for stopping by!!

Amy

Cute and Fun Cupid Card with Peachy Keen Stamps
Hello friends!! I have a new post to share with you here today as well as on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. It is my first as a new 2012 design team member. WooHoo!!
I just love Valentine's Day and this adorable Cupid's Sting image from Peachy Keen Stamps is so fun color with Copic markers. Isn't his expression fabulous?!? I added some white gel pen accents to the colored image and a gold colored paint pen to color in the halo as well as some glossy accents to the heart on the arrow. I then cut it out with my Large Circle Nestabilities set.
I also embossed the edges with my Nestabilites in my Cuttlebug and then added some blue ink with my ink blending tool and two shades of blue. I used the lighter one first and moved in closer to the image and then with the darker color, I just stayed closer to the outside making sure to blend it all together again with the lighter color.
I finished it all up with some ribbon, bakers twine from The Twinery, a button, glitter, a doily, and some pen stitching. I hope that this has inspired you to get some stamping done for cards to send to loved ones this Valentine's Day!!
Hugs,
Amy

A Peachy Princess Birthday Blog Hop
Hello everyone!! Today I am joining in on A Peachy Princess Birthday Blog Hop. We are celebrating Angelica Suarez's birthday today......YAY!!
Happy Birthday Angelica!!
If you came from Amanda's blog, you are in the right place. If you want to join in on all the fun today, hop on over to Kathy's blog to get started. Since I am on two design teams with Angelica, I thought I would use a little bit from both of those teams - Peachy Keen Stamps and The Twinery - on my 'Happy Bird Day' card.
Here is a close up:
For my card, I used my Cricut and Stretch Your Imagination to cut the bird; Elegant Edges for the label; 3 Birds on Parade for the word 'bird'; Beyond Birthdays for the words 'happy' and 'day'; and Celebrations for the hat. I also used paper from Bella Blvd.; cardstock from Bazzill and Core'dinations; Happy Lashes stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps; Lemondrop twine from The Twinery; border punch from Stampin' Up!; a white gel pen; and a blue button.
In celebration, I have a sampling of yummy bakers twine (like I used on my card above) from The Twinery to give away to one lucky person who leaves a comment under this post by Monday January 23rd at midnight. I will draw a winner via random.org and post to my blog later in the week, so don't forget to check back to see if you are the lucky winner.

A Peachy Keen Linking Party
Today on the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog there is a linky party going on and you are all invited to come and join us!! All you have to do is link up a *new* project with Peachy Keen Stamps at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog. Here is the very first card that I created as a member of the new Peachy Keen Stamps DT. It is inspiration for the linky party this week. I used the new January Kit of the Month stamps.....isn't this little angel adorable??
I layered her over a heart that I cut on my Cricut. I stamped the XOXO background stamp over my stripe patterned paper and tied it all up with some colorful bakers twine from The Twinery.
I colored my little angel in with my Copic markers. Isn't that little face adorable?? The best part about this set is that the face is customizable. You can choose the face/expression you want on your angel. My 7 year old daughter just *loves* this set and she wanted to pick the face that I used for this card and this is the one she went with. I think she made a fabulous choice. She is a little stamper in the making, I tell ya!! I also added a little bit of chunky glitter along the edges of the wings. It doesn't show up real well in pictures, but it looks fab in person.
Here is a picture of the fabulous January KOTM from Peachy Keen Stamps:
I hope that you will all join us this week over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.....I can't wait to see what you all create.
Hugs,
Amy

It's A Love Thing with SRM Stickers
Hello friends!! I have a super fun Valentine's Day card to share with you today here and on the SRM Stickers blog. Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday (with Thanksgiving coming in at a close second) and I {♥} to create cards for my loved ones every year. Today my card is meant for that special guy in my life. ::wink:: ::wink:: (now I hope I can delete the email before hubby sees this in his inbox in the morning). ::crossing fingers:: I used my Cricut and the Sweethearts and Banner (CCR Exclusive) cartridges along with some FAB SRM Stickers to create my card.
Isn't this just the cutest?? Here is a closer look so that you can see the layering and dimension:
Supplies-
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (pink, yellow, turquoise), Bazzill (white, light blue),
The Paper Company (kraft)
Die cuts: Cricut with Sweethearts and Banners (Craft Room Exclusive) cartridges
Stickers: SRM Stickers
Ribbon: Stampin' Up!
Embossing: Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots embossing folder
Pen: Zig
Button: unknown
Other: hemp twine
I am entering this card in the Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
I am thinking I need to update the look of my blog. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?? I have a newer picture of my kiddos and I that I want to put in the header. Do you know anyone that does a fab job for a really great price?? I just don't have the time to create one right now.....plus with my computer crashing a couple of months ago, I lost some of my digital kits (one in particular that I really wanted to use).
Later today, I will have an AWESOME announcement, as well as another card.......stay tuned!!
Hugs,
Amy

Stickers and Stamping
Today on the SRM Stickers blog, I get to share a post with stickers and stamping. The sentiments are from SRM Stickers. Don't they work perfectly for any card?? I colored the images with my Copic markers and finished them all off with a little bakers twine from The Twinery.
Supplies-
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (white, pink, green, yellow, orange);
Bazzill (white); The Paper Company (kraft)
Stamps: Unity (animals); Stampin' Up! (wood-grain)
Stickers: SRM Stickers
Markers: Copic
Twine: The Twinery
Gel Pen: Uni-ball Signo
I would love it if you would hop on over and leave some love for me on the SRM Stickers blog, too. I have some really exciting things coming up to share with you.....so, stay tuned!!

Fun Valentine's Day Card and Design Team Announcement!!
Welcome everyone!! I have some exciting news to share with you........I made the 2012 Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team!! Congrats to the new team!! I am super excited to be working with this amazing team of designers and can't wait to show you more. Right now for the announcement, I quickly threw together this card......I literally had only one hour from when I thought of making it to share with you for the announcement until it needed to be posted.
I used a combination of the Princess Face Assortment (eyes) and the Wide Eyed Kids Assortment (mouth) for my stamp. The way I did this is by masking off the parts I didn't want to use and then inking it up and removing the tape before I stamped it to my image.
If you want to see some more of my projects created with Peachy Keen Stamps.......CLICK HERE. Don't forget to hop on over and check out the other talented designers that made this fab team on the Peachy Keen Blog and tell them Congrats!!
****On a fun side note, I just found out this morning that I won a new Silhouette Cameo on the House of Hepworths blog. WooHoo!! I have started out the year with some awesome luck....hopefully it continues throughout the rest of the year. =)
Hugs,
Amy
