Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Giveaway!! {DAY 3}

Here we are on the final day of Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Giveaway!!  If this is your first visit, be sure to hop back to Day 1 and Day 2 posts to get entered in those fun giveaways.

I wanted to share some pics of my craft space with you today, but I ended up spending most of the evening/night in the emergency room with my oldest.....she fractured her wrist and had to have it put into a cast.  So, I didn't get a chance to get pics of it yet.  I will have to get them up for you soon.  I really love my craft space!!  Maybe in the next few weeks, after the CHA craze.....I have some projects due before then and won't get a chance to get them up and posted.

Here are a few more projects to help inspire you today.......

The first two cards are done on my Cricut Imagine.....the awesome print and cut system from Provo Craft.  The second is done with the Cricut Mini.  I just love my Cricuts!!  Provo Craft has a fun new way to make cards called the Yudu Cardshop.  With it, you can screen-print your own cards, invitations, stationary, gift tags, and more in just minutes.  Guess what I am giving away today??  A Yudu Cardshop to one lucky commenter.

I bought one of these awesome machines for myself and one to giveaway.  I haven't taken mine out of the box yet.  If you are the lucky winner, I would love to see what you create with it.

Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Giveaway!! {DAY 2}

Welcome back to another day of super fun giveaways for Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Celebration!!  I am so excited to see so many blogging friends interested in my giveaways.  If this is your first visit, be sure to go to Day 1's post to get entered, too.

Today I have something super fun for all the Cricut lovers out there, but first I wanted to share some more fun projects with you.

The first card uses the Art Nouveau cartridge (see today's giveaway) and the Letter Envy cartridge.  Such a fun card!!  The second is a set of cards and a box that is created from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge and the Theresa Collins Sophisticated cartridge.

I have really enjoyed being on design teams.  I get to try out new products and samples of stamps and embellishments that I probably wouldn't have tried before.  I had tried out for big manufacture design teams when I first got started, but I knew that I wasn't up to par with some of the super talented designers out there today and didn't get the spots.  I decided to start out smaller and try out for kit club design teams and smaller challenge blogs.  I was so excited when I landed my first design team gig with Apron Strings Designs.  They have fabulous kits and I was able to gain experience and knowledge with being on a design team.  From there, I was able to let my talent grow from looking through inspiring blogs and magazines.  So, don't give up if you have tried out for teams before and didn't make it.  I will let you in on a little secret.........I actually tried out for a Provo Craft design team spot many moons ago and didn't make it, so I was super excited when I was invited to join the Cricut Circle Magazine design team this last fall.  Yay!!  If you want to see what design teams I am on, CLICK HERE.

Ok, if you made it though that novella, you totally deserve to win the next prize that I have up for grabs......one lucky winner will win this:

*Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge
*5 rolls of Prima velvet ribbon
*Set of 2 Stardust Gelly Roll pens

How to enter:
  • Leave a comment below telling me if you have ever tried out for a design team.  (Mandatory)
Bonus entries:
  • Be a follower/subscriber to Scrapping Mommy through Google Friend Connect or Feedburner (sign up on the right sidebar) and then leave a comment below letting me know that you are a follower/subscriber.  If you are already a follower/subscriber, just leave a comment below letting me know that you are.
  • Share a link to this giveaway on your blog, facebook, or twitter and leave a comment below letting me know how you shared my giveaway with a link back to where you shared.
  • "Like" Scrapping Mommy on facebook and post a comment on Scrapping Mommy's facebook wall and then come back here and leave another comment (if you already "like" Scrapping Mommy on facebook, you can leave a comment below letting me know that you do).

Be sure to leave a way for me to contact you if you are a winner.  This giveaway is open to those with shipping addresses within the USA.  The giveaway will be open until July 8th at 11:59 PM MST.  I will then draw a winner via random.org and post it to my blog within the next few days, so don't forget to check back!!  I will be having one more giveaway tomorrow, too, so tell your friends and come back to get entered.

Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Giveaway!! {DAY 1}

Hey everyone!!  It has been a while since I have had a huge giveaway and since I have had my blog for 5 years, I thought I would have a HUGE 3 DAY GIVEAWAY!!  So, that means that I have three days of giveaways and three lucky winners.  YAY!!

I started blogging way back when blogs were beginning to be the rage among paper crafters.  I wanted a way to showcase my projects for my friends and family.  Eventually I started getting requests from people wanting to follow my blog, but I hadn't quite set it up for followers and so I went and found a way to help people follow along on my blog.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be where I am today with nearly 2000 followers/subscribers on my blog and over 150 likes on my facebook page

I thought it would be fun to share some of my projects that I haven't had on my blog before.  Here are a couple of my favorite projects that I created for the March issue of the Cricut Circle Magazine:

I didn't really use my blog for much when I first got started......I would publish a project or two when I had the time, but it wasn't until I discovered challenge blogs and the chance to be on design teams that my blog really took off.  I love doing the challenges that both create.....they push me to do creative things that I never would have tried otherwise.

Alright.....what is a Blogiversary without a fab giveaway?!?  Today I have the following up for grabs for one lucky person........

40 sheets of Graphic 45 papers - Transatlantique Collection
(5 sheets of 8 different double sided papers)
Samples of  bakers twine from The Twinery
Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed Kids 1 1/8" stamp set
My Creative Time's Script Type Backgrounds

How to enter:
  • Leave a comment below telling me if you blog and why you do.  (Mandatory)

Celebrate Independence with The Twinery

Hey everyone!!  Today is my turn to share on The Twinery Blog a super fun project for the upcoming 4th of July celebration.  I found some great cuts on my Cricut  and the Ribbon and Rosettes, Jubilee, and 3D Pinwheel cartridges, and thought it would be fun to wrap some twine with them to see what I could come up with.

I applied some strong double sided adhesive to the die cut stars and then circled some Maraschino bakers twine around each one of them, starting with the points first and then filling in the middle.  On the card, I used some of the Maraschino, Denim, and Shore bakers twine around the card.

On the pinwheel, I did the same thing on the star as on the card above and then added a fun little pom pom made with the Maraschino, Denim, and Shore bakers twine.  I braided the three colors of bakers twine together and then secured it to the pom pom and then to the pinwheel for a fun little embellishment.
To see more awesome projects with bakers twine from The Twinery, hop on over to The Twinery Blog.

Come back tomorrow......I am having a Blogiversary celebration and you are all invited!!

Hugs,
Amy

What an exciting blog hop this week with The Twinery and My Little Shoebox!!

Today is the last day and I am the very last stop.  If this is your first stopy toda, hop on back to the My Little Shoebox blog to get started and to check out all the details.  I really LOVE the My Little Shoebox papers that I received, I decided that I wanted to make a mini CD album with the Happy Go Lucky collection.

Here is the front cover:
I used the Pink Sorbet bakers twine from The Twinery on each page.....can you spot all the places I used it??  I was also able to use some of the fun Summer Sticker Sentiments from SRM Stickers throughout the album.
All of the rolled paper flowers you see in this album are from the 3D Roll-up Flower sheet in the Happy Go Lucky collection.
I left room in each area for pictures and a little journaling.  I thought this would be fun to give as a gift to a friend or even to put some of our fun summer pictures this year inside of it.
Here is the back cover.  I used The Cinch from We R Memory Keepers to bind these CD's together.  If you would like to see a mini tutorial on how I cover my CD's to make mini albums, CLICK HERE.

So, what do you think??  I really love making these CD mini albums......and I really have a HUGE stash of CD's that are no longer any good.....what a fun way to reuse/recycle!!

My Creative Time June Release Blog Hop - You Are My Sunshine LO

Hello and welcome to the June Release Blog Hop with My Creative Time.  If this is your first stop, hop on back to Emma's blog to start at the beginning and to get all the details for the hop.  Happy first day of SUMMER for those in the northern hemisphere.  Today I have a layout of my three kiddos that I created with this new AWESOME release from My Creative Time.
For my layout, I stitched some blue patterned paper to a 12 x 12 piece of white background cardstock.  I then added a little bit of green cardstock to the bottom that I hand cut into hills and embossed with my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I stitched around these with some black thread and my sewing machine.  I then added some grass that I cut on my Cricut and the Spring 2010 digital cartridge (that I welded together in Cricut Craft Room).  I added some stitching to that as well.  The pole and clothes pins are cut from Straight from the Nest.  I added some texture to the pole with my Cuttlebug and Distressed Stripes embossing folder.  The clothes line is .05 Hemp Twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

The plane and clouds are die-cut from the new Fly Away With Me Dies and the banner is stamped and cut with the new Fly Away With Me Sentiments.  The plane is also stamped with the new Fly Away With Me Stamps.  Isn't this such a fun release??  I cut the sun out with my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The light yellow paper that I used on the sun and for "sun-shine" is Wausau pearl cardstock, so there is a little shine on it that you can't see to well in the photos.

For the title, I used the XL Label Die from My Creative Time and added some pen stitching to it.  I cut the title from my Cricut and the Wild Card 2 cartridge.  I added it to the label with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.  I tied a little bit more of the .05 MM Hemp Twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique to the label and also to tie the plane and banner together and tied into the button on the sun.

I thought it would be fun to add my journaling to the edges of the little hills to help draw the eye across the layout.  So, what do you think??  If you want to see the card I made with the newest release using the hot air balloon, CLICK HERE or scroll down on my blog.

My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday Project

Hey everyone!!  Today over on the My Creative Time blog, it is another 3D Wednesday and the challenge is to REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!!!! Emma asked us to make a 3-D project using ANY recycled item in our home........

I have had this cylinder box lying around in my craft room for quite a while and to tell you the truth I have no idea where it came from, just that I thought it would be really cool to decorate one day, so I did for this fun project:
I covered it in some paper and made it into a Mani Pedi kit.  The fun little sentiment around the top of the lid is from the Gift Card Sentiments.  I cut the tag from Emma's Tag Dies.  The material is just the clear blister pack that comes on the Cricut cartridge.  I have a TON of it that I keep from packages that are not scratched up too bad.
I painted the edges of the clear tag with some white acrylic paint and then after it was dry, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots embossing folder.  I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle dies on the tag along with the All Around Everything and All Around Everything Accessories and then tied it to the package with some fun ribbon.
Hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out what fab projects the rest of the design team did.

So, I have some fun stuff planned in the next week or so.  It will be my blogaversary along with hitting some awesome milestones on my blog and I want to celebrate in a big way.  I have been collecting some AWESOME stuff for giveaways and can't wait to share with you.  Be sure to sign up to follow my blog so you don't miss out.

I wanted to thank you for all of the sweet condolences I have received from the passing of my sweet dog.  I really do appreciate the messages and wanted to let you know that I did receive them all and I wanted to express how much I loved reading each of them.

Amy

Birthday Cake with the Cricut

Hi everyone!!  I have had one crazy week here, so I haven't had the chance to get very creative.  I do have a birthday cake that I made for my grandmother's 80th birthday.  I cut the flowers, leaves, and sentiment on my Cricut Cake machine with gum paste and two of the Martha Stewart Cake art cartridges.

The cake is chocolate and the frosting is butter cream.  I used three 13 inch round cake pans to create this cake.  The flowers and butterfly are all molded and dried before I applied them to the cake to help them stand up a little bit.  I dotted the center of the flowers with some of the left over butter cream frosting.  I know that she just loved it!!  My grandmother is an amazing woman and I know that most of my crafting talent comes from her.  Happy Birthday Grandma!!

On a sad note, I lost my beloved pet dog and best friend this last week.  It has been really hard for me to get over it and I am really going to miss her.....she was my shadow and I don't feel quite the same without her following me everywhere.  Her name was Cassie and she was 11 years old.  Good by my SWEET friend!!

Hugs,
Amy

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge - 3D Frames

Hello everyone and welcome back!!  Today I have a super fun project to share with you that uses a 3D frame for the newest Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge called You've Been Framed.  For my project, I found one of those cheap wooden frames at the craft store and painted over it with some light tan acrylic paint.  I then stamped the frame with the new Lattice Background stamp and then sanded it down in some places and at the edges for a distressed look.

The cloud background is the Cloudy Day stamp set.  The tree, birdhouses, little bird, and welcome are all from the new SUPER CUTE Home Tweet Home stamp set and I paper pieced them all from scraps.  The sunny face is from the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment stamp set.  I cut the grass with my Cricut and embossed it with my Cuttlebug and the Herringbone embossing folder.

I added some shading to the tree and birdhouses with my Copic markers.  The sun has some rosy cheeks compliments of my pink chalk and I also added some white pen details with my white gelly roll pen.  The birdhouses and sun all have sum fun bakers twine from The Twinery added to them.  I used foam adhesive to raise them all up off the background piece.  I used two or three different layers of foam adhesive in a couple of places for extra dimension.

I hope that you hop on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge blog to check out the details, see what the other fab designers have created and to join us this week.

 Hugs,
Amy

The Twinery and Rubbernecker Blog Hop

Hey everyone!!  Welcome back to another blog hop with The Twinery.  Today we are hoping with Rubbernecker stamps.  If you are coming from Joan Ervin's blog, you are in the right place.  If you are just joining in and this is your first stop, hop on back to The Twinery Blog to start at the beginning and to get all the details.

I created my card with the fun Kittie Kit Cause a Scene In My Garden #1 from Rubbernecker Stamps

I colored my images with my Copic Markers and added a few white pen details.  I cut the white oval with my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nestabilities and tied it to my card with four strands of Cappuccino bakers twine from The Twinery.
I distressed the edges of the green patterned paper a little bit and then added some stitching with my sewing machine.  The pots are raised off of the card a little bit with some foam adhesive along with the oval piece.  The sentiment on this card is from Lawn Fawn.

So, what do you think??  I thought it was a fun card to make and really love the old fashioned feel.  Do you want to see what you can win for hopping along with us today??

'I Dream in Color' Sampler Pack from The Twinery, retail value of $32

$25 Gift Certificate from Rubbernecker Stamps

Peachy Keen Stamps June Release Week

Hello!!  It seems like forever since I have shared something with you.  I had a post to go up this weekend, but it never made it live, so I will share it with you a little later this week.  Today I have this super adorable card that uses the new June Stamp Kit of the Month at Peachy Keen Stamps.  Isn't this little turtle the cutest??
The turtle stamp and sentiment are from the new kit for June from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I colored him with my Copic markers and added some white pen accents as well as some glossy accents to his eyes.
I used some of Liz's Paper Loft Boutique hemp twine and burlap to accent the card as well as a couple of yellow buttons.  I added some foam adhesive for dimension on the turtle and the sentiment.  The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

Hop on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to check out other wonderful projects by the Peachy designers with this AWESOME kit!!  This is probably my favorite one EVER!!  Tomorrow there will be the full reveal as well as some challenges going on over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Ning site.  Don't miss out!!
