Poppy Sketch #3 : Wish Big!

Hello and welcome back to my blog as I share another fun card with the latest Poppy Sketch #3.

The sponsor for this sketch is Lawn Fawn and I love the fun stamp set that I received to work with for this sketch.  It is called Birthday Tags.

I stamped the banners on a purple cardstock and then cut them out and adhered them to my card base.  The tag is stamped on white cardstock and I also stamped the sentiment and cupcake on the tag and added some color to them with my Copic markers.

To finish off my card, I added some stitching on the patterned paper piece with my sewing machine and then some of the Lilac bakers twine from The Twinery....and a bit on the triangle paper clip on the edge.  Take a look at the sketch and colors for this challenge.....

Hi There!

So fun to pull out some of the older stamp sets I have hidden away and play along with some of my favorite challenges this week.  I created this card for Lawnscaping challenge #37 to use dimension and with the sketch 273 at CPS.

I used some foam adhesive to lift the images off of this card after I colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out.  The images are from the Critters in the Burbs stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Sophie's Sentiments also from Lawn Fawn.

Isn't it the cutest??  Want to know the best part??  I was able to use scraps for this whole card.  I love it when I can pull together left over material from other projects for a fun card like this.

The Twinery and Rubbernecker Blog Hop

Hey everyone!!  Welcome back to another blog hop with The Twinery.  Today we are hoping with Rubbernecker stamps.  If you are coming from Joan Ervin's blog, you are in the right place.  If you are just joining in and this is your first stop, hop on back to The Twinery Blog to start at the beginning and to get all the details.  

I created my card with the fun Kittie Kit Cause a Scene In My Garden #1 from Rubbernecker Stamps. 

I colored my images with my Copic Markers and added a few white pen details.  I cut the white oval with my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nestabilities and tied it to my card with four strands of Cappuccino bakers twine from The Twinery.

I distressed the edges of the green patterned paper a little bit and then added some stitching with my sewing machine.  The pots are raised off of the card a little bit with some foam adhesive along with the oval piece.  The sentiment on this card is from Lawn Fawn.

You're A Cool Friend

Hey, look at that....two post in as many days.  I must be on a roll.  ;)  Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the current Lawnscaping challenge #20 - Paper Piecing.  I used the fun Making Frosty Friends stamps from Lawn Fawn for my card.

I used some patterned vellum for the body of the snowman.  Not sure how well you can see it in the photos.......

Now that the weather is turning cooler, I hope to have more time to craft and can post a little more often than I have over the last couple of months.  How about you??  Do you find that you craft more when the weather is cooler??

New Marvy Permanent Markers with SRM Stickers

Here is my review:

I have always loved stamping and I just started coloring with some of the more expensive alcohol markers a year ago. I then received the new Marvy LePlume permanent markers to try and I found that their colors were beautiful, vibrant and easy to work with. They blend just as well as the more expensive markers and the ink went on very evenly to make shading and blending easy. I only use the brush tip when I color with markers, so I didn’t miss the chisel tip at all. I would highly recommend these markers to anyone who would like to try coloring with markers, or even for those who would like to add to their marker collection without paying so much.

Hello Friend - New Lawn Fawn Stamps

I just love inking up a new set of stamps for the first time and when I got this lovely Critters in the Forest stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I did just that.....although, the very first images I colored from this set will be shared later on another project, I inked up the cute little owl, log, and dragonfly again last night to use on this card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #16 One Layer Magic and CAS-ual Fridays CFC16 - Embossing.  This is my first time entering these two challenges, although, I have been watching them for a little while.  ;)

The images are colored with Copic markers and the sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  I embossed the bottom of the card with my cuttlebug and then painted over it with some green acrylic paint.  After it was dry, I sanded the embossed area for the fun polka dotted look.  For the dragonfly, I added some glitter to the wings and drawn stitches behind it.  For the owl, I added some fun wiggle eyes.  I finished off the card by adding some hemp twine and a button.

Pumpkin Spice DT Call - Thinking of You

I discovered a great new online store and their blog....there I found a link for a new DT call for Pumpkin Spice.  I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and give it a try.  The challenge for the DT call is to use at least two different paper lines from the ones below:

I used three of them.....Bo Bunny for the blue background, My Mind's Eye for the tree, and Echo Park for the grass.

I started out creating this card by cutting the tree with my Cricut and Everyday Paper Dolls at 3 inches.  I cut the tree twice (once in green and once in brown) and then cut the trunk out of the brown one.  I then inked them a little and adhered them together.  I added them to the Bo Bunny paper that I had stitched around the edges on.  I added the grass with two strips of Echo Park patterned paper that I cut with my Martha Stewart fringe scissors.  I stamped the banner, sentiment and birds from my Lawn Fawn Bannerific stamps and colored the birds with Copic markers.  I added some button flowers and finished it off with some twine.
 
I need to list my favorite paper company and I don't know if I can pick just one, but three of my favorites right now are My Mind's Eye, Echo Park, and Fancy Pants Designs.

Celebration Banner Card

Good afternoon!!  I have a quick card to share with you today the I made with the lovely Bannerific and Sophie's Sentiments from Lawn Fawn.  I had a few small scraps that were just laying around on my scrap table and rather than throw them away, I just made a quick banner card with them.  This card is a 4 x 4 inch square.

Eat Cake! Card

Finally, a day without rain and the sun is shining.  In the area that we live in there has been quite a bit of rain and still lots of snow (with more being added almost daily) in the mountains, there has been flooding in towns near us, with the high chance of more flooding in the near future.  Thankfully, we live high up out of a wash, so there really isn't much chance for flooding in our home (unless you count the time that our washing machine failed while filling and flooded the house a  few years ago).    I just had to go and get shot of the view from my scrapping room window.....

YAY BLUE SKY PEEKING THROUGH!!

Things are looking up on the home front....my lovely husband has found a permanent full time job that he starts on Monday.  WooHoo!!  I am also almost ready to shoot pics of my scrapping room to share with you on here.  I have had design team commitments that have kept me from being able to finish up on getting things organized and pictures taken.  Hopefully I will be ahead of the game in the next couple of weeks to shoot some pics and share them all here.

Today I am going to share a card that I created with the sketch at Lily Pad Cards that was sketched by my lovely past fellow DT member of Caardvarks, Lucy Abrams.  I also used a stamp from the sponsor, Lawn Fawn, on this card....it is called Bannerific.  This card was inspired by the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - Some Royal Fun.

I popped the images up off the card with dimensional adhesive....for the cake, I stacked two of the dimensional adhesives together to give it more height than the frame.
