Candy Bar Surprise - Kazan's Sketch 15 at 2sketches4you

I finally had a chance this week to create a card with the sketch this week at 2sketches4you. I used the tutorial on Kazan's blog to make this card that has a candy bar that pulls up when you pull on the ribbon for a surprising treat. I had been wanting to try one of these and it is really quite easy. You can find the simple tutorial on Kazan's blog. I created this one for my niece......her birthday is on Monday and I thought that this would be a delightful treat to go along with her present this year.

Cardstock, stamps, and ribbon: Stampin' Up!
Patterned Paper: Die Cuts With a View
Glitter: Stickles glitter glue by Ranger
Scallop circle punch: Stampin' Up!

I really like the bonus sketch by Heidi on the 2sketches4you website this week, but time in my week didn't allow it.....but I do have an idea of how I want to use it, so maybe later I can use the sketch and post it here.

  1. The paper on this card is so darling! You niece will definitely enjoy the special treat- hopefully she can also appreciate the work of this great card!

  2. Don't you just LOVE how easy this is :) I got such a kick out of making it too. Your version is so bright and fun - I bet your niece absolutely loves it too - Oh yes and thanks for taking the time to play along with Heidi's sketch too. Both projects turned out beautiful

  3. This is adorable, love the paper you used here... fabulous take on Kazan's sketch and tutorial!!

  4. How cute! Love the bright fun colors and glitter edge around the flower! Great take on the sketch/candy holder!

  5. This is so cute!! Your neice will LOVE it :)

  6. Fabulous job with the sketch AND the the tutorial! This is so bright, fun and pretty! If you ever get around to trying my sketch I would love to see it!
