July 4th Parade Layout

Well, hello there.....yes, I know I have been a stranger and I think that my craft supplies have taken it the hardest because they feel a bit neglected.  Well, they shouldn't anymore because I was able to get into my craft room this weekend and create something!!  And, it felt great!!

I created this fun layout for The Twinery blog - stitching with their solid bakers twine.  Check it out!

This is a layout of my kiddos at the local 4th of July parade....yes, yes, I know that the photos are a few years old, but hey, I was so into the moment the last time the parade was in town that I {gasp} forgot to take pictures.  Hopefully I won't forget this year.  I used my solid bakers twine on this layout for stitching around the star with the Solid Maraschino and also for the fireworks up in the upper right corner in Solid Midnight Blue and Solid Natural bakers twine.  Here is a closer look......

I used my Cricut for the die cut stars and the lettering.  This year we will have a fun packed day with parades, games, wagon rides, BBQ and fireworks.  How will you be celebrating the day?

Summer Fun Layout with The Twinery

Hello everyone!!  I am up on The Twinery blog sharing this fun summer layout.

My family really enjoys the warm summer months.  We like to get out and explore, see family, and go to the local beaches.  I thought it would be fun to pull a layout together using some fun summer pictures of our summer so far.  Take a look....

I used the Solid Marigold twine to stitch a tic-tac-toe pattern and then put my pictures and title in the pattern (I did leave off the top right stitching so that I could put the longer title down).  To make the holes, I used a stitching template and pierced the holes and then hand stitched them.  Take a closer look at the stitching....

I also added some of the Solid Marigold and Solid Caribbean bakers twin to the button centers.  We have a fun blog hop using the Caribbean bakers twine coming up tomorrow, I hope you will join us for a fun hop!!

The Twinery and Ruby Rock-It Blog Hop

I got to work with the lovely Heritage paper line from Ruby Rock-It and decided that it would be perfect for a layout of my grandparents.  Take a peek....

The colors and patterns in these papers are fabulous!!  I love how they really make this black and white photo of my grandparents POP on this layout.  I tied some of the Solid Natural bakers twine from The Twinery around the lower half of the layout.  I also tied some to pins that I added in a couple of different places on my layout.  Take a closer look at my project.....

I really LOVE the way this layout turned out....such a great way to honor two of the people who had so much influence on my childhood.  I used this title on my layout because my grandmother had it on display in her home next to the pictures of her children and grandchildren.

Peachy Keen Stamps May Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome my stop on the Peachy Keen Stamps May Release Blog Hop!!  I am so in LOVE with this month's release....our family is really into camping, hiking, and fishing.  If your family enjoys these things, too, then these are the stamps for you!!  If you have arrived from Emily Kluender's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just happened upon this post and would like to join us, hop on back to the Peachy Keen Stamps blog to get started and to check out the whole release and hop details.

For my blog hop project, I created a 12x12 layout with the new May Stamp of the Month, Up a Creek and Camper, and the Camping Pine sets.  Take a look.....

I don't have photos printed for my layout, but I used 3x4 place holders for my photo of the layout.  For the camper, I paper pieced and also used come Copics as well as a silver paint pen around the frames of the windows and on the wheel and hitch.  Take a closer look......

On the fun little raccoon and campfire, I used my Copic markers to color them in and a little bit of white pen accents.  Here is a closer look at them.....

I cut the Happy Camper with my Cricut and the Outdoor Man cartridge.  I also added some embossing with my Cuttlebug on the green cardstock and added some chalk ink.

I used the super fun Carnival King collection along with some of the new Solid Bakers Twine from The Twinery on my layout today.

This layout is of a trip to the circus with my two older kiddos and some cousins.  I had fun with this layout and the fun bold colors in the Carnival King kit were perfect for my pictures.  Here are some closer shots and a peeks at how I used the bakers twine in my layout.....

Aren't those some fun papers and embellishments??  I love how well the twine goes with the colors in these papers.  I used the Solid Maraschino, Solid Marigold, Solid Peapod, and Solid Denim bakers twine on my layout.  I was inspired by the 12 x 12 double page layout from the April 2013 PageMaps newsletter.

Learn 2 Mow LO and WINNERS!!

Hello friends!!  Today I have a layout to share with you of my son learning to mow.  He felt like such a big boy helping out in the yard and it makes me teary eyed watching him grow up and do things on his own.

I used my Cricut to cut out the images with the Everyday Paper Dolls, Gypsy Font, Boys Will Be Boys,Gnomes and Mushrooms, Easter 2010 Digital Cartridge, and Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridges.  I added a little embossing to the number 2 with my Cuttlebug.  Here are some closer shots......

 Thanks to everyone who played along with my giveaway and guessed at the number of rolled flowers I used on my Flower Topiary.  Unfortunately nobody guessed the correct number, but there were a few close ones.  There are a total of 217 rolled flowers on here and  many asked how long it took to create it.  I worked on this for over 24 hours (split into 3 8-hour days) to cut, roll and glue the flowers and get it completed.

Sneak Peek {Day 3} with My Creative Time

Hello everyone!!  Have you been keeping up with all the fun new peeks going on over at the My Creative Time blog this week??  Let me tell  you that this is one awesome release packed full of wonderful stamps and dies.  Take a look at my layout and see if you can spot any of the new release......

The banner die from the Build a Banner Kit as well as the label dies from the Stitched XL Label Die and XL Label Die where my title is are already available at the My Creative Time store, but can you see the fun frames and arrow die that are in the new Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow Die set??  Yep, those are new as well as the stamped title that comes from the new Life Is Good set.  CUTE CUTE stuff!!  Here is a closer look at those frames and arrows.......

I love the way these frames look on this layout.....I can think of lots of ways to use them, too.  Take a closer look at the fun banner I created with the Build A Banner Kit.

I added some bakers twine from The Twinery braided at the top of the banner as well as tied under the pictures on the frame.  The patterned paper is from October Afternoon.  I am LOVING all of these new and older sets and how well they made my layout come together.

They're Coming To Take Me Away....ha ha...

Happy April Fools Day!!  I hope that you had a lovely Easter weekend.  I enjoyed spending time with my family plus a little alone time on Saturday while hubby took the kids to an Easter egg hunt.  Great time to get some scrapping in like this layout I created while they were away......  

Since it is April 1st and the best day to play pranks and get away with them, over on the My Creative Time blog we are sharing layouts that are of something fun/funny.  I found this picture of my kids behind the rail of the stairs and wanted to scrap a funny layout and this is what I came up with.....

I used various fonts to create the title.....stamps and dies, along with some of my own lettering.  I used the following sets on this layout: Label Font, Circle Font, Lowercase Fun Dies, Anyday Bingo & Crossword, and Just Simply Live.  The papers are from Prima.  Here is a closer look at the title......

Love Layout with The Twinery

Hello and welcome back to day 5 of The Twinery's Be Our Valentine Blog Celebration as we share our cards and layouts with you today.  I wanted to make a special layout of my husband and I and how much I love him......

I used three strands of bakers twine from the {Be Mine} Twine Trio (Maraschino, Pink Sorbet, and Blossom) to anchor my heart banner.  I braided the three together and then left the tails long at the ends and added a bow on the one end.  I also added buttons at the both ends on on the banner.

I added a little bit more bakers twine toward the bottom of the layout under the picture and then a little bit of the Maraschino bakers twine in a bow on the owl......

Remembering Grandma.....

Hello!!  Today I get to share a layout  to remember my grandmother who passed away a couple of months ago.  She was a truly lovely lady who is very missed in our family.  I thought that it would be a great idea to make a layout to remember her by and share it with you here as well as on the Jinger Adams blog.  I used some papers from the Gypsy Queen line for my layout.....

Christmas Photo Op

Wow!!   What a busy beginning of the month I have had with the move and everything going on with the holidays.  I haven't had too much time to craft, but I do have this fun layout to share with you that I made last year for the Cricut Circle Magazine and I thought I would share it with you today......

I used my Cricut for all the die cuts along with some yummy SRM Stickers.  The photo is a few years old, but it was a great photo of us all next to our tree and fireplace with the stockings.

Oh My, Pumpkin Pie!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!   I know that it is near the end of the holiday, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!  So many things have been happening here that make me truly thankful for the loved ones that I have in my life (I will share a little more below).  Because of everything going on, I haven't had much time to make things to share with you.  I do have this fun layout that I created last year for the Cricut Circle magazine of my two oldest enjoying their Pumpkin Pie a few years ago.  

So, as I mentioned at the first of this post, some of the things that are going on around here are that we have lost two members of our family this last week, my cousin in a tragic freak accident and also with my mother-in-law passed away late last night.  All this on top of the fact that we are trying to pack up and move a considerable distance in the next week and a half.   I am so very emotionally drained at this point.  I haven't had much mojo to craft even if I did have the time to, thankfully I do have some projects that I haven't shared here on my blog that I get to share over the next couple of weeks along with a couple of DT assignments.  ;)

Also, our funds are running low with this move and all the traveling we have been doing with funerals and such, so if there is something on my FOR SALE page that you are interested in buying from me, I would be happy to pack it up and ship it to you.  I do have a paypal account, so that could be done quickly.  I will be adding much more over the next week or so.  I have over 150 Stampin' Up! stamp sets that I am wanting to sell, too.  Most, if not all, are retired and so if there is a set that you are looking for, EMAIL ME and let me know.....I might just have it in my stash.  ;)

I am also so very thankful to you, my blog readers.  I love getting on and seeing the comments you leave for me.  They help help to brighten my day inspire me to create more to share.   Thanks so much!!

Our Beautiful Family Layout with My Creative Time

Hello and welcome!!  Some of the design team have created layouts today for Scrappy Monday at My Creative Time.  We were challenged to pick a letter and create a layout around items that start with that letter.  I picked the letter O......can you spot the things in my layout that start with the letter O??

I cut the cute 'O'wls out with my Cricut and the Hoot n' Holler'n cartridge.  I used some 'O'vals in my layout under the title and also along the left edge of the layout.

I used 'O'range cardstock for one of the layers as well as with the fab Flower Petal dies from My Creative Time.  I also did some stamping with Orange and the Just Simply Live stamp set.

My kiddo's also pointed out that the layout is of 'O'ur Family and that we had the pictures taken in 'O'ctober.  Super clever of them to notice that!!  I hope that you will hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out the fab layouts done by the other design team members for Scrappy Monday.

Scrapping The Little Things with My Creative Time - Smash Album

Hello and welcome back!!  I can't believe that it is already the first week of September.....where did the summer go??  I know that I didn't get near as many things accomplished this summer as I was wanting to, hopefully I can get some of them done in the coming weeks before it gets too cold outside.

Today is the first day of another new segment at My Creative Time.  Emma has put out a wonderful stamp set that goes PERFECTLY with Smash albums as well as Project Life.  She also has some other great sets that work well with these, too.  I have to admit that I picked up a couple of smash albums a year or so ago and haven't used them yet, but because of this fun new segment with My Creative Time called Scrapping the Little Things, I had to pull it out and give it a try, so here you go.....my very first pages in my smash album:

I had soooo much fun pulling this all together.  I used some scraps and a few other little items that I just had lying around for this album.  I also used the Just Simply Live and All Around Everything Accessories stamp sets from the My Creative Time Shop.  Check out these close ups:

I had fun misting with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and adding some fun Washi Tape and rub-ons that I just has lying around.  I also tied a little bit of Orchid bakers twine from The Twinery onto the paper clips.  I can't wait to get in and create some more pages......I think I am HOOKED!!

Scrapping Mommy's 5th Blogiversary Giveaway!! {DAY 1}
