The Craft's Meow Farewell Blog Hop

Yes, you read that right.....this is a farewell blog hop for The Craft's Meow.  It is with a heavy heart that I post this last post and blog hop with The Craft's Meow because they are closing their doors at the end of December.  If you have arrived from Mabelle's blog, you are in the right place.  If you would like to join us as the current and past designers say goodbye, hop on back to The Craft's Meow blog to get started.
www.thecraftsmeow.com/

I have really loved being a part of the super talented team of designers and Illustrators for the last seven months.  Their stamps and designs are some of my favorites out there.  I know it was a difficult decision for Lisa to make and it will be the best one for her family.  I would like to wish her luck and happiness on her new journey.    Thanks so much for letting me be a part of the The Craft's Meow Family!!

For my card today, I have used two of my favorite stamp sets from The Craft's Meow......Wildflowers and Beautiful Hymn's Two.  These were two of the first stamp sets I got to design with when they were released in May 2013.

I stamped and colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers.  I then cut them out individually and mounted them with foam adhesive on top of another stamped image on white cardstock to get the 3D look.  Here is a closer peek at my card.......

The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Two 6x6 paper pad.  I added some stitching with my sewing machine, ribbon, hemp twine, and a button to finish off the card.

The Craft's Meow store is closing its doors at the end of December. All stamp sets have been marked down by as much as 75%! Stock is limited... once it's gone, it's gone for good, so please shop early for the best selection. All orders of $25 or more will receive a free gift with purchase. Flat rate shipping is $3.00 for all US orders and $12 for all International orders. Please see the store blog for details, or click over to The Craft's Meow store to start shopping!

It is now time to hop on over to Lindsay Amrhein's blog to see what wonderful project she is sharing with us today.

Have fun!!

BIG Hugs,
Amy

Peace Angel with The Craft's Meow

Hello everyone!!  Today I get to share a pretty little angel card with you on The Craft's Meow blog using the Little Angels stamp set.

I adore using angels in my home decor during the holidays and I also like to use them on cards that I send to loved ones.

To create my card, I stamped my angel on a die cut circle and then colored in the skin and hair with Copics.  The dress is stamped on patterned paper and then cut out and pieced onto the card.  For the wings, I added some Stickles glitter glue for a little sparkle.

To finish off my card, I added a ribbon and some stitching with my sewing machine as well as a little bit of pen stitching around the circle.

Here is a look at the Little Angels stamp set.....

Be sure to join us tomorrow as we kick off the month with a blog hop!!  Can't wait to see you then.

Blog Hop with The Craft's Meow and Perfect Paper Crafting

Hello and welcome to my blog!!  Today I am hoping with The Craft's Meow and Perfect Paper Crafting as we showcase projects using products from both of these wonderful companies.  If you have arrived from Jinny Newlin's blog, you are in the right place, if you have happened upon my blog and would like to join us today, hop on back to the Perfect Paper Crafting blog to get started.

For my card today, I used the Folk Art Blooms and Potted Garden stamp sets from The Craft's Meow.  I also used the Perfect Squares and Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting.  Take a look at my card.....

I must admist, I have had the Perfect Layers tools for a few years.  I used them mostly to mat my photos for layouts, but I never really thought to use them on my cards and I must say that they really made the job so much easier...no more uneven matted borders (since I tend to just eyeball the alignment).  I also got to try out the Perfect Squares tool and I love the rulers on it....makes it so easy to get a square angled cut for my project.....

The flowers on my card are stamped from the Folk Art Blooms stamp set.  I used the Potted Garden stamp set to stamp the sentiment.....I am always in need of birthday cards.  ;)

Did you know that there is a huge sale on discontinued stamps going on over at The Craft's Meow.  Some of my very favorites are marked down for this sale, so hurry over and see if your favorites are still available at the wonderful sale prices HERE.

Perfect Paper Crafting is offering hoppers a 5% discount on their tools everyone joining us for this hop. The code to enter at checkout is meow5%.

What fun is a hop without a prize??  Up for grabs is TWO $50 gift certificates for two lucky hoppers.  One will be given for The Craft's Meow and the other for Perfect Paper Crafting.  To qualify, you need to hop along and leave comments on each of our blogs.  You will have until midnight PST on Friday, November 22nd to leave you comments and be eligible to win.

It is now time to hop on over to Wendy Ramlakhan's blog to see what project she is sharing today.  Don't forget to leave a comment before you go.  Have fun and Good Luck!!

Altered Inspirational Notebook with The Craft's Meow

Hello friends!!  Today I get to share an altered notebook on The Craft's Meow blog that would be a wonderful gift for someone in your life or something that you may want to keep to write your own thoughts down in.

I found a fat little notebook at a discount store.  I don't like the thin flimsy covers that they had on it, so I cut my own out of chipboard that measure the same sizes as the ones that I took off (this one measures 5 1/2 x 4 inches).  To remove the covers, I carefully unwound the coil on the side and then remove it.

I use a pen and the cover I just removed as a guide for where I need to punch the new holes on the notebook.  I decorate the front of the notebook cover before I punched the holes (from the ones I traced on the back of the newly decorated cover) with a Crop-A-Dile.

I put the notebook back together and then re-coil the spiral binding.  I added some embellishments on the front like the small chalkboard panel that I created with the Chalkboard Faith stamp set and some ribbon, pins and a wooden button.

I used papers from the Jillibean Soup 6x6 Grandma's Lima Bean Soup paper pad to cover the notebook front.

Here is a look at the wonderful Chalkboard Faith stamp set:

If you like my notebook, I would really love it if you would hop on over to The Craft's Meow blog post to leave a little love there on my project.  I hope you have a blessed day!!

Amy

October Release with The Craft's Meow {Day 4}

Hey everyone!!  Have you been enjoying the sneak peeks so far this week for this special Christmas release from The Craft's Meow??  I am having so much fun with these sets and today is extra special because we are taking a peek at TWO of the new sets.......first up is Holiday Poinsettia by Nina B Designs.......

For my card, I colored the poinsettia image with my Copic markers.  I added my choice of sentiment in the frame and then also stamped a postage stamp image in the upper right corner.  Take a closer look at this fabulous poinsettia image......

I added some stitching to my card with my sewing machine.  The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 All is Bright paper pad.  To finish off my card, I distressed the edges of the papers a little bit and added some lace, ribbon, twine and a button.

Up next is a card that I created with the Inside Christmas stamp set by Karen Baker......

This set is perfect for stamping inside of cards, but it also makes a great sentiment for the outside.  Here is a closer look at the stamp that I used from this set.

I used my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out these little trees.  I added some embossing with my Cuttlebug.  To finish off the card, I added some hand stitching around the outside edge as well as on the trees with some embroidery floss.

The patterned paper is from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 Christmas paper pad.  I added the inside of the doily that I cut the circle out of for THIS card earlier this week and finished it off with a little bit of ribbon and a button.

Layered Thanksgiving Card with The Craft's Meow

Hello everyone!!  I have been under the weather over the last little while and haven't had time to craft, but I do have a couple of cards that I completed earlier that I get to share with you today.  First up is this one that is also posted to The Craft's Meow blog.

Can you feel it??  Fall is in the air and I am super excited to be welcoming it with this fun little card.  I will admit that the fall months and Thanksgiving are my favorite times of the year.....let's not mention how much I love good food and during this time of the year, everything just smells wonderful!!

I created this layered pumpkin card with the Autumn Borders stamp set by coloring three different images and then layering the first one with some of the background cut out of the image on the second one.  For the third layer, I just colored and cut the pumpkin image to layer on top of the second one.  Here is a closer look at the image.....

Here is another shot that shows the layering a little better.  I used foam adhesive to give the image a little bit of a lift and dimension......

The Happy Thanksgiving is stamped from the Speaking of Fall stamp set.  I colored my images with Copic markers.  I also like to add a little bit of white pen accents to my colored images.  The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye and I used some Solid Mandarin bakers twine from The Twinery.  I finished off the card with some stitching with my sewing machine.

Hop on over to The Craft's Meow blog check out the pictures of the two stamp sets that I used on my card today.  Have a great fall day!!

Amy

September Release with The Craft's Meow {Day 2}

It is day 2 of the September release sneak peeks at The Craft's Meow and up next is a wonderful fall set called Speaking of Fall.  Like I said in yesterday's post, Fall is tied with spring for my favorite time of the year, but it is my favorite season to create projects for.  Here is a look at the card I created with this very versatile set......

I used the same technique on this card as I did for my blog hop card HERE to create the different shades on the leaves and the outlines with the same ink pad.  Here is a closer look at my card and the sentiment.......

I added some embossing with a Quickutz embossing folder to the yellow cardstock and the rectangle images that the sentiment is mounted on are cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities.  I added some stitching with my sewing machine and then finished it off with some raffia tied around the card.

So, what do you think of this fun little sneak peek??  I am loving the samples that my design team members have created with it.  You can check them out plus enter to win this set for yourself over on The Craft's Meow blog.

Have a great day!!

Hugs,
Amy
