Stash Your Stash Blog Hop with The Twinery

Hello and welcome to my stop on The Twinery's Stash your Stash blog hop.  If you have come from Jeanne Jachna's blog, you are in the right spot.  If you have just happened upon this post and would like to join us, you can hop on back to The Twinery blog to get started at the beginning.

Today we are sharing how we store our twine.  I actually have two places that I store my twine rolls.  The first is on a pegboard system:

I started by storing my twine this way when I had quite a few of them.  I love how pretty they look all lined up in a row.  For those who follow my blog, you may know that I just recently moved and have been setting up my scrapping space.  This is one of the first things that went up because it has lots of ways to store different products.  I need to get some more pegs and put up some more twine that I still have in a box from our move.  Here is a closer look at the twine rolls.....

I also was on the design team for Ribbon Carousel for a while and as compensation for my time, I received a ribbon carousel from them.  I don't know if she is still making them, but here is what mine looks like with all that pretty solid bakers twine on it.

It looks like they might still be sold on Amazon (Ribbon Carousel) so you might be able to get one there.

Nicole with The Twinery is generously giving away a Striped Twine sampler ($18 value) on each of the blog hop stops....that means that if you leave a comment on each blog, that is an entry into each drawing and more chances to win!!

Comments will close at midnight (EST) on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Winners will be posted on The Twinery blog on Thursday, November 5th.

************
ALSO - just for the hop there is a special discount! STASH25
Use the code above to get
25% off any order through 11/6

It is now time to hop on over to DoBea Alberts' blog to see how she stores her bakers twine.  Don't forget to leave a comment to get a chance to win the prize listed above!!

Sometimes You Just Gotta Tweet It!

Hello everyone!!  I can see signs of spring popping up here and there....the snow is melting, the tulips are starting to peek through the ground, and the temperatures are getting warmer.  I am so looking forward to the warmer weather and wanted to make a spring themed card as inspiration for the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge RCC90 : Washi Tape.

I used the February Poppy Sketch for the layout on my card.  Take a look......

I used the April 2013 SOTM from Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp the chic image and sentiment.  I used Copic markers to color/shade the chic image.  The 'grass' is washi tape along with the small bit of green polka dot washi on the background paper under the Solid Natural bakers twine from The Twinery.

Take a closer look at the cute little chic....

Hop on over to the Ribbon Carousel blog and join us for this super fun Washi challenge.  You also should check out the fab sketch that Laura has got up over on the Paper Poppy blog.

Amy

Love Grows Here

Hello all!!  I do apologize for being away so much from my blog lately.  I have had quite a bit going on in my personal life and haven't had much crafting time lately.  I also need a major cleaning session to happen in my crafting room for me to get some mojo back.
http://blog.ribboncarousel.com/2014/01/rcc89-love-birthdays-and-chicken-soup.html
I did have this card I wanted to share with you that uses the the new January Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions along with the Love Grows Here stamps set.  This card is also inspiration for the RCC89 challenge - Love, Birthday's and Chicken Soup over at the Ribbon Carousel.

This is a square card that measures 5x5 inches.  I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and added some white pen details.  I added some stitching to the edges of the card with my sewing machine.  Take a closer look at the image....

The papers in the Key Ingredients kit are from the 6x6 Crate Paper ~ Love Notes.  On my card, I also used the Spellbinders rectangle and scallop rectangle Nestabilities to cut the image panel.

I hope you can hop over and join us at the Ribbon Carousel for this fun challenge and have a chance to win some wooden spools with the winners choice of seam binding, bakers twine, or May Arts ribbon.

Amy

They're Coming To Take Me Away....ha ha...

Happy April Fools Day!!  I hope that you had a lovely Easter weekend.  I enjoyed spending time with my family plus a little alone time on Saturday while hubby took the kids to an Easter egg hunt.  Great time to get some scrapping in like this layout I created while they were away......

Since it is April 1st and the best day to play pranks and get away with them, over on the My Creative Time blog we are sharing layouts that are of something fun/funny.  I found this picture of my kids behind the rail of the stairs and wanted to scrap a funny layout and this is what I came up with.....

I used various fonts to create the title.....stamps and dies, along with some of my own lettering.  I used the following sets on this layout: Label Font, Circle Font, Lowercase Fun Dies, Anyday Bingo & Crossword, and Just Simply Live.  The papers are from Prima.  Here is a closer look at the title......

Now admit it, you can't get the song out of your head, right?!?  HAHA!!  I hope that you have enjoyed my layout and if you want to be even more inspired, hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to see what the other designers have come up with.

One fun announcement that I have today is that I have been asked to join the super talented team over at the Ribbon Carousel blog.  I love using ribbon and twine on my projects and I am super excited to be able to share even more with you (check out the ribbon treatment on my layout above).  You should hop on over there and see who is also joining me over there. ;)

Hugs,
Amy
