Framed Flowers - Twisted Card Sketch #15

The new sketch is up at Twisted Sketches.  It is Twisted Card Sketch #15 and the twist is Frame.  For this card, I cut out a framed window from chipboard with my Cricut Expression that I welded on my Gypsy.  I used an old DCWV Stack chipboard backing for this and distressed the edges a little bit with sandpaper.  I then punched out six flowers with an EKSuccess punch for the flowers and sprayed them with a little Glimmer Mist for some sparkle.  After they dried, I put some brads in the centers of the flowers.  I adhered them all to the card with dimensional adhesive.  I scallop punched some pink cardstock and used it for the bottom edge of my card.  I then applied some lace and a ribbon with a button over that.  I applied a sentiment to the bottom center of the frame.
Cardstock, stamp, ink, scallop edge, word window
            and modern label punches: SU!
        Brads: Making Memories
        Flower punch: EK Success
Die-cut window: Cricut Expression with Gyspy and George cartridge
Other: Glimmer Mist, chipboard, button, lace, ribbon

I have lots of stuff to share with you today,  I hope you will come back.  I also hope that you will stop by the Twisted Sketches Blog and play along with us.

Hugs,

  2. Love the card, super cute. When I saw the sketch the first thing that popped in to my head too was to cut a frame with my Cricut. LOL! I haven't posted mine yet but I will :-)

    Great card!!

  3. I love this! I get so carried away with all the "specialty" cards that I forget to take a break and appreciate simplicity. This is gorgrous.
