Thanks Note Cards with Tutorial

Hello!!  Today I am featured over on the Fiskars blog with this fun set of mini cards that I made with the Fiskars 4XL Scallop Square Lever punch and the Fiskars XL Petal by Petal Squeeze punch combined with SRM Stickers.

Here is how I made them (please excuse the messy mat).

Gather your materials……you will need:
Desired paper choices (I used Carta Bella Alphabet Junction)
Bakers twine from The Twinery (available at SRM Stickers)
A button

First I punched out a piece of paper with the 4XL Scallop Square punch.  I then punched out 5 of the smaller petals in red and one of the larger petals in green.  Cut a white square to 2 x 2 inches and also cut a card base at 3 x 6 inches and fold in half.

Next, Add desired sticker stitches along the edges of the white piece of cardstock.  Adhere the white square to the punched scallop square base.  Add the sentiment to a thin strip of cardstock and then cut then ends  in a ‘v’ pattern as shown.

Cut the larger green petal in half and then round the sharp corner at the top a little with a pair of scissors.  Add a crease down the middle of each one and then ink with some green ink.  Add some ink to the flower petals and then lightly crease near the point and add a little dimension to the petals.

Add the petals and leaves to the center of the white paper piece.  Finish off with a button and a little bakers twine tied into a bow.  Adhere the sentiment to the middle of the button.

Adhere a 1 ¼ inch patterned paper strip across the middle of the 3 x 3 card base.  Adhere the decorated Scallop Square to the middle of the 3 x 3 card base and the patterned paper piece.

*I did add a strip of patterned paper behind the scallop squares on these ones.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project and tutorial today.  Wouldn't these be great little teacher thank you cards or even to just have on hand for a quick little thank you??  Hop on over to the Fiskars blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a prize.  Don't forget that I have a giveaway going on right now, too.  CLICK HERE to check out my rolled flower topiary and a chance to win one of three prizes.

Hugs,
Amy
