My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday Project

Hey everyone!!  Today over on the My Creative Time blog, it is another 3D Wednesday and the challenge is to REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!!!! Emma asked us to make a 3-D project using ANY recycled item in our home........

I have had this cylinder box lying around in my craft room for quite a while and to tell you the truth I have no idea where it came from, just that I thought it would be really cool to decorate one day, so I did for this fun project:
I covered it in some paper and made it into a Mani Pedi kit.  The fun little sentiment around the top of the lid is from the Gift Card Sentiments.  I cut the tag from Emma's Tag Dies.  The material is just the clear blister pack that comes on the Cricut cartridge.  I have a TON of it that I keep from packages that are not scratched up too bad.
I painted the edges of the clear tag with some white acrylic paint and then after it was dry, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Polka Dots embossing folder.  I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle dies on the tag along with the All Around Everything and All Around Everything Accessories and then tied it to the package with some fun ribbon.
Hop on over to the My Creative Time blog to check out what fab projects the rest of the design team did.

So, I have some fun stuff planned in the next week or so.  It will be my blogaversary along with hitting some awesome milestones on my blog and I want to celebrate in a big way.  I have been collecting some AWESOME stuff for giveaways and can't wait to share with you.  Be sure to sign up to follow my blog so you don't miss out.

I wanted to thank you for all of the sweet condolences I have received from the passing of my sweet dog.  I really do appreciate the messages and wanted to let you know that I did receive them all and I wanted to express how much I loved reading each of them.

Hugs,
Amy

  13. How clever to use the plastic...Good to know the embossing folders are so strong as this plastic is pretty thick I think. It is not too thick and tough for the thin dies either...I also have a saved stach of these plastics :D Great idea to make a kit...it turned out great! Congratulations on your awesome milestones and coming celebration!

  14. That cylinder is so darned cute, what a great transformation you did. I have one of those I got at Michaels but then wondered why I'd gotten it. It's a Christmas one. Will have to look for a "now time" one then figure out what to do with it to transform it. Your mani/pedi kit is a great idea. What woman doesn't love having all that stuff in a pretty container?

  16. I love the idea of a mani/pedi gift set. You did a beautiful job! You've got.gr wishing I could go back thru the last years worth of trash & retrieve the 45 Cricut blister packs! I never thought to save them & you're tag is fabulous. So sorry about the praying of your four legged family member. Wet had to have our 16 year old Aussie put to sleep last summer & our broke our hearts. My thoughts are with you.
