Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time

It is another inspiring day over on the My Creative Time blog......today we are Scrapping the Little Things with Smash albums and Project Life.  I do have a Project Life kit, just haven't started it yet.  I love playing with my Smash book, although I think I use it more as an altered art/scrapbook album because I love to pull out my paint and just play with no rules.  Here is a fun little layout about me and my grandmother that I put in my Smash album to share with you today......
For this two page layout in my Smash album, I started by painting the pages with some light blue paint.  I added my photos and then drew some grass and stems.  I die cut some flowers with the Flower Petal Dies.   The clouds are also die cuts from the Fly Away With Me dies.  For my title, I used the Lower Case Fun dies and the Label Font stamp set (which I also used next to the flowers on the right page).  Here is a closer look......

I hope that you can hop on over to the My Creative Time blog and check out what the other designers have been creating.  I am sure there are lots of inspiring ideas while they are Scrapping the Little Things!!

Hugs,
Amy

  3. These pages are so cool! I never thought about painting the pages! I don't have paints, but I bet I could use my Distress Inks! I'll have to remember this, as sometimes my smash pages aren't what I would want with my theme or pics. Thanks for sharing!

  8. What fabulous smash layouts! I love that you painted the pages, I would have never thought to do that! So cool looking and a great way to alter the page if you don't like the design on the page without added a lot of bulk like it does when you cover with another paper!! I love too that you are a grandma's girl-I have a little grand-daughter and she's my girl too. lol I hope she remembers the times we've spent together like you have with your grandmother.
