Inspire Me Tuesday with MCT

Today is Inspire Me Tuesday over at the My Creative Time blog.  I enjoy sharing some of my creative process with you through this super fun post.  I was inspired by the pattern on a wrap that I bought in Hawaii several years ago and I use it when I go swimming or to the beach.  Check out how lovely it is:

Here is the card that I created while drawing inspiration from the colors and the flowers on my wrap.....

I used the new Stitched Hexy Dies over the embossed background on this card.  The flowers are the medium die on the Flower Petal Dies and the leaves are from the Stitched Leaves Dies.  I added a little bit of maker to them for added details.  Don't these Flower Petal Dies make great Hibiscus?!?

The stamen coming from the button is actually some of the new Solid Cappuccino bakers twine from The Twinery.  I tied short pieces of twine onto a longer one and then tied the ends of those in knots (cutting off the excess).  Here is a closer look at the flowers....

The sentiment on my card comes from the Vintage Sentiments stamp set from My Creative Time.

I hope this has helped you try to look at the things in and around your world as inspiration.  Don't forget to check out the ways that Emma and my fellow DT members have been inspired over on the My Creative Time blog.

Hugs,
Amy
