Easter Projects

Easter isn't that far away and I have these two fun projects to share with you.  First up is a card that I created for a challenge we had at the scrapping weekend I went to with some of my online friends.

I created this card with my Cricut and Give A Hoot (bunny), Serenade (butterfly) and Holiday Cakes (sentiment) cartridges.  For the challenge, we had to do a project with spring colors and add a little critter.  We then had a guest judge (AdminBecky from the Cricut MB) come in and judge our creations and pick a winner.  I was so happy and totally not expecting it when she chose my card as the winning project.....there were so many other creative projects there.  Thanks so much Becky and also to my friend Tomi for putting up such a fun challenge.

I am also going to link this card up for the new challenge that Kimberly at My Craft Spot has started up.  This week it is to add a bug somewhere on your project and I think that my cute little butterfly by the sentiment qualifies.  ;)

This next project is one that was shared on the SRM blog a couple of weeks ago (while I was on my scrappy weekend).....

I had this basket laying around the house and so I decided to spruce it up and make it into an Easter basket for my grandmother.  I painted the basket, wrapped ribbon around the handle and then added some die cuts from my Cricut and Camp Out (rabbit), Plantin SchoolBook (grass), Picturesque (eggs), and Doodletype (tag) cartridges to decorate the basket with.  I added some fun Easter themed SRM Stickers to some of the cuts and also to this super cute tube from SRM Stickers:

We use to have a HUGE family get together every year on Easter, but since the extended families have grown so large, we don't get together as much anymore, but we usually do get together in smaller groups.  I do miss those days, though with all of my cousins and the big Easter egg hunt.  Do you have any fun Easter plans?? Do you usually spend the time with family or friends??

Don't forget to enter for my HUGE GIVEAWAY going on right now.  You can find the link at the top of the page or CLICK HERE.
