Happy 4th of July to my American friends!! Now that it is July and we are well into summer, there is a Sunny Days challenge today at My Craft Spot. The challenge is to create something that reminds you of summer. For me and my family, we love to go hiking in the mountians and so this adorable moose image from the Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge was perfect for my theme. I also cut the background with the trees from the same cart. The sun is cut from Mickey and Friends. I added some texture to the trees with my cuttlebug and tied it all up with some yummy bakers twine from The Twinery that you can now get from My Craft Spot. This card measures 5 inches x 5 inches.
Here is a close up of that adorable moose. I inked the die cut images and also added some pen stitching around the edges of the backpack and the card:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (green, cream, brown, green, blue, yellow),
The Paper Co (kraft)
Die cuts: Cricut with Campin' Critters and Mickey and Friends
Stamp: My Craft Spot
Letter stickers: Cosmo Cricket
Twine: The Twinery from My Craft Spot
Ink: Stampin' Up! and Colobox Fluid Chalk (distressing)
Don't forget to hop on over to My Craft Spot to check out what other summer themed projects the design team came up with along with the wonderful prize that is up for grabs.....don't forget to link up your projects this week!!
Next week, I get to be the guest designer at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog. I can't wait to share with you the fun cards I am making. You will also have a chance to enter to win some fab Peachy Keen stamps, too.
Now, off to the local 4th of July parade for us and then later grilled burgers and then fireworks!! You can scroll down and see some of my patriotic themed cards I shared last week. I hope that you have a fun and safe holiday!!
